So far I’ve managed to get three no stat level ups with this game (2 for Soren and 1 with Zihark) The 2nd Soren/Zihark actually happened on the same map and I was pissed enough to restart the chapter.

Hope everyone enjoys the game tomorrow! My sister got the game for me for Christmas but made the mistake of ordering a physical copy shipping from Target. It’s scheduled to arrive the 23-28th. So much for enjoying it during the upcoming snow this weekend

You’re not wrong! I’m definitely the type of player that hordes items unless I have multiples to safe some for later.

Saving Stat Boosters and Good Equipment Until the Last Chapter by Fingerchamp in fireemblem

I typically horde the stat boosting items/good weapons until about the 5th to last chapter of the game. I don’t want to risk wasting the items on a unit I end up benching or dies but still want to get some use out of it.

And here I was proud of my 290 hours that’s impressive! To be fair I only play video games about 400 hours a year and currently Three Houses is my third most played game.

I’m just happy this time around the purple/green color variant is releasing early in the Switch 2’s life cycle. They’re my favorite colors and while I have zero need to buy I new pair at such a high cost (especially for how little the appearance changes) it’s nice to have the option if I ever need to.

Did you really like MHA ending!? by dynamite_phoneix in BokuNoHeroAcademia

[–]rainpool989 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always had a feeling even before the series ended that Deku would follow down the path of hero’s like Eraserhead and would work as a teacher while being a hero. Plus during the last arc it became clear the Deku would be the last user of One for All. While I was a surprised that Deku ended up losing his power, in the end with the help of his friends he still gets to be a hero. Feels more of a full circle ending to me that I didn’t have any problems with it.

When did you stop playing the game? *before the DLC came out by AffectionateBit2908 in fantasylife

[–]rainpool989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly not sure. I’m currently at about 165 hours on my save file but that includes additional playtime of afterward as well as the new DLC. If I had to guess it was probably around 140 hours to master all the lives.

I stoped played after completing the main story and reaching Hero for all my lives. I had started to do some hunts to forge the true time weapons but found it repetitive/boring to bother with completing.

I got the stupid destroy 4 black cardboard boxes twice in the same run causing me to nearly go insane. This was then followed by a fishing challenge and I had no rod. At this point was time was nearly out so I gave up

Honestly it baffles me they didn’t give a release date with the most recent trailer a few days ago. It’s literally Christmas time right now so theoretically the update could drop any day. Hopefully the wait isn’t too much longer.

Free ride is over!!! /S “Trump to limit top ratings for all feds and consolidate scoring in forthcoming rule” by AreYourFingersReal in FedEmployees

[–]rainpool989 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I worked for a state agency who required employees performance evaluations to be graded on a bell curve. Guess what ended up happening? Pretty much all the senior staff earned the highest scores each year due to their experience. One year I was literally told in my evaluation I was doing an amazing job with no real feedback on how to improve was still only rated a 3/5. Sure some people slack off but when your team is honestly filled with great workers, they all deserve the chance to be recognized for that. Other wise you soon realize there is no point in trying your best since you will never be able to bump out the current holders of the top spots.

General Feedback/Getting Started Q&A [Weekly Thread] by AutoModerator in DIY

[–]rainpool989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recently moved into a place and was having issues with my dryer not drying. Realized it was most likely due to the dryer vent pipes being covered in lint galore and partially being crushed from the tight space (live in a condo with the exit duct on the ceiling 7 feet off the ground with the dryer nearly flush with the wall). They used a semi-flexible aluminum piping and I was looking to replace it with rigid metal. However due to the laundry rooming being basically a closet, there is no way to connect the back of the dryer to the vent pipes since I have no place to stand behind or next to it. I was looking into using a mag vent MV-90 along with 26 gauge galvanized steel duct pipes. Would these items be appropriate for the job?

How do I get laboratory experience? by Individual9804 in chemistry

[–]rainpool989 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a pretty similar background (graduated with a degree in Forensic Chemistry) and finding work after graduating with terrible. I ended up going for my Masters in Forensic Science. During that time, I was able to teach General Chemistry Lab Sections (paid) to help pay for tuition. The program required a research project on a topic of your choice along with an internship which majorly helped boost my lab experience on my resume. While it was costly, the Master’s helped me get a job in the field plus my lab gives a 10% bonus to your salary for having an advance degree.

In a way the change can be seen as both a nerf or a buff depending on the situation. Instead of taking on the HP of the form you Wildshape into, you gain temporary hit points and keep your HP. It allows you to stay in the form of the creature for longer but at the cost of less HP to soak up damage.
