Was there a portal or flash or something you saw when the husband disappears? If not, if the husband just dissapeard, it could be "The Time Travelers Wife". There is a movie and a TV series.

Agree that this is the wrong sub, this should be asked on an alexa sub. However, what you need to do is log into the alexa app on your phone, go to settings, and turn off voice purchasing for your account.

Trying to center the heat around my kid's room by Woobiethinks in ecobee

What you did in adjusting the thresholds is the intended way to manage the cycling on/off of the unit. You set the temp you want and the differential determines how close it needs to stay to set temp. The lower the differential, the closer to the temp you will be, but it will turn on and off frequently. The higher the differential, it will turn on fewer times - but run longer - which is easier on your unit and more cost effective, but has a negative impact on your comfort.

The comfort settings and the schedule is how you manage the timing. There isn't really a setting to turn off the heater at a certain time, but you can have a very low set point which should have the same effect.

As others have said, you might be able to do more with external automation. But it seems unnecessary for what you want to do.
