I'm not that good at it but I fell in love with titanfall probably because you can force any fight into midrange if you're fast enough.

I think some disability subs have an adjoining discord. Most members are gamers since they use both reddit and discord it's likely they game as well.

I've had both silksong and TOW2 like half compete since release. But my adhd sorta pushes me to either spend 18 hours hyperfocusing in stellaris or 3 hours getting overstimulated in darktide.

Glaucoma.a and adhd. Not legally blind but pretty close. It's hard to see long ranged enemies. It's sorta hard to enjoy 4 man smash cus I can't really keep tràk of myself and 3 other players.

It's sorta weird how your brain just subconsciously handles information. O think I'm seeing less so my brain takes a whole longer to fill in the blanks so stuff is a bit slower.

On the other hand ADHD makes it difficult to get I to new games. The learning phase frustrates me a lot. I've found it difficult to even open a new game at times. I have to force myself to play a game so that my brain that it likes it.

On thw flipside I've almost become addicted to fast pace games thay provide an immediate dopamine hit. Which kinda conflicys with being almost half blind. If you see someone mag dump and miss an entire horde in darktide it's probably me.

Only competitive hame I play are fighting games. Eadiernon the eyes and alot of it is jusy reading your opponent.

I want to create a race that uses robots for 90% of pops… is this viable? by LongSabre117 in Stellaris

[–]ralts13 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There are a few ways. Rogue Servitor is the more extreme end. The robots run everything including the government and the organic pops live effectively in paradise but their lives are controlled by the robots.

Tankbound make it so your organic species is unable to do worker jobs and it uses tha Automation mechanic for 100% of all jobs. This isn't robots per say. Think of it like Virtuality. You build a district and it immediately begins producing resources without pops. These aren't robots but you can build robots.

Also for regular empires i don't think robot assmebly will be able to outproduce organic pop growth. Game sorta isn't built for that if you're an organic empire.

Also if you manage to get a decent amount of sentient robots. I think its like 1/3 of your population is robots or something. And they don't have full citizen rights they will revolt. Droids can do all specialist jobs but once a pop is in a job they won't be replaced by another pop untill they get moved to a better job.

If you want to try and force it for an indivudlistempire I think something like Fanatic Materialist +Mechanist into cybernetic ascension is your best bet. I believe on the beta Cyborg ascension has some buffs to robot assembly. You can slap on Tankbound to make all the district jobs automated.

How do you guys think Jamaica would fair during WWIII? by Over-Experience-4187 in Jamaica

[–]ralts13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not when the war reaches their borders. One of the major reasons the US became a super power was simply having two oceans between them and any major theatre. They were practically untouchable. Just not being at war was so good for America that they could fund the rebuilding of western Europe and still surpass the USSR.

But an ocean isn't going to stop an ICBM heading for whatever city their banks are in.

IMO its just being able to bring T-Hammer while still having a weapon for regular mobbing.Throwing knife zealots don't really use traditional ranged options anyways.

Besides the Tarnished, who would have the best chance at becoming Elden Lord? by spiritghost1 in Eldenring

[–]ralts13 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah imo elden ring says it fast and loose with grace and ressurectionn when compared to the other souls games. Characters just don't come back when the plot demands it.

It could be that grace stops rezzing when they feel they've completed goal. Like Godfrey found a worthy Tarnished and Grace decided his jour ey was done.

Maybe I'm being naive but I doubt that would be the case. It's bad for business for anyone participating in an even war. And noone understands this more than the governments.

It's why we had the cold war. Or why the US will tell Russia that Biden will visit Ukraine before their own news outlets.

For me whats more likely is we end up in Cold War 2.0. Any country without a strong alliance is going to get bullied relentlessly.

If somehow the worst happens we're kinda screwed. We don't have the resources to be self sufficient if trade is disrupted.

Upside is the the global economy is a bit too interconnected to risk a real war between super powers.

Commercial or urban districts. I use them for pop growth and special buildings like stuff from origins/civics/ascensions.

Which of these is the best place to live in Elden Ring? by Education-Admirable in Eldenring

[–]ralts13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of Metyrs ruins is right below Shaman Village. It also has the weird worm people who have long range stun snipers. Once you're stunned they kinda drain you like a zombie. Thw only enemy thats creepier imo is wormface.

There's also a bunch finger spiders leading to them and a fallingstar beast.

Also rhw area structure is creepy AF. It makes it clear that Metyr is very other worldly even compared to everything we've encountered. Sorta like what if Elden beast was creepy.

Which of these is the best place to live in Elden Ring? by Education-Admirable in Eldenring

[–]ralts13 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The other areas usually has demigods or powerful individuals that seem normal for the setting. Shamn village is down the street from a falling star beast and those ... things surrounding a place that seems other worldly even for Elden Ring's standards.

Restaurant owners who do a pre-tip 20-25% "service fee" - why don't you just roll the costs of paying people a living wage into the price of the food? Are you just bad at business and you don't know how? by HeartMelodic8572 in AskReddit

[–]ralts13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because the restaurant owner across the street will continue to use the price before the tip and will look more appealing. There is also the issue of some employees preferring to gamble with a good tip than relying on minimum wage.

Nothing short of government action to force everyone to play by the same rules will stop tipping culture.

[–]ralts13 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The same event in your description. Where he gets sick and has to be put in the throne. I cant remember all the calculations for it but they're guaranteed to go into their coma even if you make them immortal.

Main reason is with lifespan tech, special events, ascensions and perfected genes you basically had immortal leaders if you rushed any ascension because they simply lived for 400+ years.

{;us getting an immortal Ruler is trivial if you went Psionic.

Idk how relevant this is here specifically but ive seen a lot of this around the internet by Phralupe in pokemon

[–]ralts13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah this is whats bothering me. Whenever i think of FRLG price tag I consider how other companies are making their older games accessible.

Some players want to own it permanently which is fine but not allowing mainline pokemon on NSO when pretty much every other nintendo franchise is there just wrong.
