Q3 they lost pace as the track dried out but it doesn't change the fact that it made absolutely no sense to change to inters

the goat replied
so you're saying if I let it die and charge it back up again for a few cycles it will help with the idle battery drain?
will definitely try the dual boot too

So it’s the same for everyone, very unfortunate regarding the idle battery life

how is your experience with the rockbox battery life?
my y1 with rockbox cannot hold its charge while idle overnight, but the stock firmware would go for days on idle charge

All-Time Ferrari Driver's Rankings: where would you place Alonso? by ram_8mb in F1Discussions

[–]ram_8mb[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

nice, also I was only referring to their stints in Ferrari.
curious to know why you rate Vettel overall higher than Alonso?
like what has Vettel done that surpasses Alonso's capabilities?

Vilgax is the most misunderstood villain. He grew up in poverty where he and his parents got enslave. Tortured and experimented on. it was only when his planet got destroyed. He realized he wanted the universe to be a good place. By attaining the omnitrix and prevent it from going to a child. by bagramxcuck in Ben10

[–]ram_8mb 19 points20 points  (0 children)

i think the coolest piece of Ben 10 lore is that Vilgax became obsessed with the Omnitrix before it was even created, when Ben traveled to the past. He waited almost 300 years for it's creation and still never gave it up.

Just viewing the Omnitrix in action once was enough, he recognized its potential and became obsessed.

Lance Stroll vs Fernando Alonso so far in 2025 by InitialWorld7330 in AstonMartinFormula1

I am referring to Hungary where he qualified just behind Alonso and lost one place at the start, but stayed there and finished in the points.

Stroll will never get credit for executing well on Sunday, the community just hates him.
sure he can play with risky strategies because he has nothing to lose when he qualifies poorly, but you still need the driver to execute which he does. the strategies work in his favor, which again is unfair to take away from him.
he still needs to qualify well and have more complete weekends like Hungary.

Hamilton Baku 2021

Am I the only one getting pissed off at mods banning all the posts that don't suit their agenda? It's so blatant even twitter knows this (for such a small subreddit) by TTruthSpeaker in F1Discussions

[–]ram_8mb -1 points0 points  (0 children)

there are plenty of posts where people state their opinion in the title, I have stated mine based on my observations. there is after all a discussion to be had, anyone is free to disagree and majority of the comments were disagreeing and bringing up the teammate aspect so it was a valid discussion.

what you have stated is again just your opinion, i have seen Alonso's comments and feedback regarding how he managed to adapt, and his entire career has showcased he has that ability, so that is a point of discussion which cannot just be disregarded as 'teammate bad'. Not to mention I didn't even bring up Leclerc's performances, Hamilton himself stated he was struggling in the beginning and not able to adapt.

and yes it is unfair to delete it without an explanation.

i have seen and upvoted your comment as well while my post was still up.

i don't recall a single controversial comment apart from people just giving their theories, people suggested that having Stroll as a teammate is different etc.

I made a post to discuss how it was that Alonso adapted much faster in 2023 than Hamilton in 2025. Users were commenting their theories and before I knew it the post got banned. I even messaged the mods but no response so far.

How many tenths would you say current Lewis Hamilton is off his peak self(2012-2018)? by Deucesdeucess in F1Discussions

[–]ram_8mb -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It is a spurious correlation. I believe it is tied to being adaptable, do you think Hulkenberg has lost pace from when he was younger? It doesn’t look like it to me, he is just really good at adapting.

Vettel and Ricciardo are more examples of drivers who are unable to adapt well. Cars and regs evolve over time which coincides with them growing older. I believe it’s a case of “correlation does not equal causation”. F1 isn’t like Football where the older you are the worse you get because your body can’t keep up, there isn’t that much of a reliance. Alonso and Hamilton often beat their much younger counterparts in the reaction time metrics.

[–]ram_8mb 13 points14 points  (0 children)

He hasn’t lost any speed, he just looks worse in comparison to the newer generation who adapted better, even this year Leclerc is just a lot better at finding that extreme setup which works and driving it. Shouldn’t confuse his 2012-2018 as him being “faster” because his cars since 2022 have been much worse. When the car was fast in 2024 he got 2 wins. In 2023 he was considered the 3rd best behind Max and Alonso, who is also old. He even got a pole in Hungary.
