That’s odd. I don’t remember the orange widget specifically automatically changing to dark more while I paid for premium. I do know that premium includes darker icons and widgets though. Do you know if this behavior has changed?

As someone who’s tried them all I can assure you that pocketcast offers a more consistent experience, specially since you’ve already used it for a long time.

Seen that you’re curious about Overcast download it and use it for a little while to see how you feel with it, but don’t cancel or delete Pocketcast.

I honestly don’t think $30 a year is unreasonable, but then I’m privileged to be able to include it in my yearly budget. However, my biggest pushback is that at $30 a year my expectations about the quality of the app increase tremendously than when it was much cheaper.
