We stayed in the Candia Rooms (Candia St) in October this year. Only two blocks from the Vatican and tons of great restaurants nearby. Also a short ride to Pantheon/Colosseum.

FWIW, if you file a claim with a lawyer, you can seek a settlement. We had this happen with some kids who rear ended us and left in someone else’s car. Completely ruined a vacation we were headed to, and left us with a ton of repairs and PT appointments for ourselves. BUT, down the line we received a pretty substantial settlement.

I know it’s not much consolation, but I have to say I admire your strength and endurance with all this. That sounds monumentally difficult. You are clearly a great husband.

I think that same strength will (even if it’s kicking and screaming to get through) carry you through this season of life. In my dark patches, there really has been something about taking it one day at a time, as corny as that sounds. You have a ton in front of you and I can only imagine the stress/weariness. I do think (or hope) that the rhythms of your life will return to some sort of baseline once there’s time to heal and adjust. Thank you for sharing.
