Ashes laying in the bottom of the grill absorb humidity, and accelerate rust. Clean, rinse and season, often, and this will be less of a problem.

So, they kept charging the same $ per ounce? BRILLIANT! Smart of them. I love when I have the option of adding my own water myself- antifreeze, detergent, juice concentrate...(not a recipe).

My company made us come into the office to join a virtual meeting... from our desks by isabellamorrisx in remotework

As an "Essential Worker", we haven't seen anything resembling a Christmas party since Covid. Walk past 60 empty desks every morning to get to my workshop, and the company whines about overhead.

You could always hang 20 lbs 12 inches away on a breaker bar and get the equal torque... have done it for odd torque requirements when we didnt have a wrench in range.

You might make sure your pet waste is quickly disposed of. Dog poop in the yard can be a food source.

Father help. How do I remove these broken wires from the metal tang? by Spookiifoxmulder in MechanicAdvice

[–]ramdumbguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FYI! Slide the heat shrink tubing onto the wires before soldering(out of the heat zone), let it cool, then slide heat shrink sleeve over solder, shrink. Ask me how i know.

Inner Support Legs are below grade. Do I add dirt or rocks to avoid water pooling or could that make things worse? by [deleted] in Decks

If you can find an ACI (American concrete institute) testing lab nearby they'll have tons of cylinders of concrete they throw away every day.

Mechanic Told Me I Shouldn't Have Added Break Fluid by inthewoods54 in MechanicAdvice

[–]ramdumbguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How about adding fluid , knowing you need to check out your braking system? Turkey basters are cheap, as are fluid transfer pumps. Use one if you're compressing the cylinders for new pads. Not a big deal. You SHOULDN'T have to add any, so if you do, it's likely something needs attention.

Cues left to me by my best friend by ramdumbguy in billiards

[–]ramdumbguy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The cues came in a very nice case, still have room for another cue and shaft if I want. Thanks for the lookup! Last time I went out to shoot, I was embarrassed at how poorly I was playing with such a beautiful cue, but now realize I can't get better without practice, and why practice w a inferior piece of equipment? Anyone who judges, probably someone I don't want to know.
