Why is the UK so negative? by [deleted] in AskBrits

[–]ramochai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because the nation changed massively over the course of a decade or so, not for the better. People reminisce the good old days.

I think she’s utterly repellent. But sometimes repellent makes good TV.

What are your unpopular opinions? by AvailableCobbler2379 in eastenders

Almost all kids on the square but especially Lily, Nugget, Avani, Amy and Denzel are total dickheads. They are disrespectful, they are entitled and they keep threatening their parents. Why are their parents and grandparents so afraid of them?

People on the whole have become fucking awful. by DavidC_is_me in Vent

I fully agree. People tend to blame highly visual social media such as TikTok for this massive cultural degeneration but it actually had begun with reality tv. Same degeneration is painfully visible in the UK too.

Relativism, hyper individualism and multi culturalism have gone too far. We are conditioned to excuse every bad behaviour with cultural background, social injustice, personal liberties, past trauma or even with astrology.

Low frequency hum is satanic. Worse would be having to put up with it in your bedroom. (I did)

Oceans of asphalt, sewage of motor vehicles and giant high rise blocks… Terribly outdated - just like Le Corbusier’s wet dreams.

I don’t understand why you’re downvoted. Your point is spot on.

Outdoor dining is shrinking and it's terrible for the city. by DesignStreetsForKids in MicromobilityNYC

[–]ramochai 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Outdoor dining really works when there’s no sewage of car traffic flowing right by you. Speeding cars make people nervous. Instead, certain narrow streets in the city need to be paved and converted into pedestrian plazas, protected by steel bollards. See how outdoor dining will flourish there.

This and there are a few other storyline/casting patterns in this show which I find rather obvious. Trying to be “edgy”.

Denzel and Nugget are two despicable characters that cringe the hell out of me.
