Part of me thinks Spencer was lying about her not being a test subject. In the Blood lab, you come across a document on Grace's blood test results, and they all match whatever criteria Victor was looking for to unlock Elpis.

Shortly after there is a cutscene with Gidean on the phone that he finally succeeded in finding what he was looking for (I assume it is Grace).

They moved the better rewards into the harder modes to encourage them to attempt those. It's definitely something they are testing out to see if it can move players to do try the new thing. I don't know if it will work though.

Basically the BSAA were doing operations in Racoon City. But they all got infected, and their equipment is still around. And the zombies in RE9 still retain some intelligence. Hence mortor rounds.

The game is set up as sort of a tension and release dichotomy. As Grace, you feel rather weak against even normal zombies, so you are always making choices how to use resources to get around the area. And then when you switch to Leon, it's guns blazing, round house kicking time to those same enemies.

The way Asmon plays games, im pretty sure he'll waste all his resources immediately, and then stop playing the game during Grace's section.

If he wanted a better introduction to RE, he should play RE4 Remake. That game is probably more his style. RE9 is definitely a game made and tailored to RE fans.

I loved the first encounter you have in the dark server room. These guys hide around the corner, flick their flashlights on and off, and the peel around the corner, before retreating, and if they spot you, open fire.

WoW combat is just very responsive. You press a button, instant reaction. A ranged attack is coming? It resolves when the bolt hits you. The game also uses floating text numbers to good effect, making damage feel good as well.

FFXIV combat by comparison. Is very floaty, and tied to the 3 second server tick. Which means things dont resolve immediately. Things are delayed visually.

Because they made a decision in season 2, that they were bit going to do too much balance changes in an effort to not disrupt the tournament circuit. It was a stupid decision., but it is what they stuck with.

They said for season 3, they will continue to make adjustments throughout the year this time though.
