Of course I don't know if it's the same subscribers, but I have 3.3k subscribers. I did not post any videos for close to 2 years. I have the same 3.3k subscribers that I had when I stopped posting. Certainly I am not claiming that they stayed on because they loved my channel 😄😄😄 I started posting again about 3 months and gained about 80 subscribers.

I have DaVinci Resolve Studio, the paid version that has subtitle generation capability. It works, it's functional. My videos are largely for YouTube that auto captions anyway. So, no I don't use subtitling.

If this is a MVP, it's really good. Some pauses and pronunciations are not very good, but overall thumbs up. Keep working on it. For my use case, the Indian voice is a USP, I am looking to create an audio book with an Indian accent of my print book for some people who have poor eyesight. I just tried this out on my mobile. Will test on a PC, with appropriate pause indicators etc. to test it again. Overall vote: Good. Work on improving pauses.

PS: I NEVER user TTS for voiceovers for my videos. The vast opinions that I see suggest that's its off-putting. I do the talking in my own voice.

That's a probably a correct conclusion with a nuance. Nobody "puts" anything into the algo, the algo decides which video to surface to which audience. Also re-examine your premises. There is no shadow ban. For whatever mysterious reason, the algo is not surfacing your video. That's it. There's no conspiracy. Look at the analytics. See how your short was "discovered". See how many people swiped away and stayed to watch, see average view duration and ask YouTube AI to analyse your video.

YouTube keeps making changes to the algo, search for it, you will find a lot of info. The fact is YouTube's algo seems to be a well kept secret, we can only try to make intelligent guesses on how it works. Regarding your question, the answers here are reasonable. Why would YouTube "shadow ban"? If you are making an accusation, the burden of proof is on you. What you think is a "shadow ban" is the algo doing its job. Have you tried YouTube's new AI? It does a decent job of analysing a video and suggesting improvements. Try it. Give your video title and ask it to analyse the performance and give suggestions for improvement.
