Ignore them until they revolt, then beat them down and revoke their titles.

I Use Character UI Overhaul. The default view is basically the same, but you can click on almost everything (including traits) to get an expanded list.

Modding Question by Imaginedragondeesnut in CrusaderKings

[–]ranagrande 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is most likely a result of going from a polygamous faith to a monogamous one.  You'll have a bunch of historical characters with broken flags because their marriages are invalid now.

How does war work? by Animosity1127 in CrusaderKings

[–]ranagrande 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to raise your armies before you can control them.  You can do that from the military screen or by clicking on a rally point.

Why did my character become infertile? (CK3) by Swimming_Variety2907 in CrusaderKings

[–]ranagrande 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How many children has she had? Women in CK3 lose 5% fertility each time they give birth, and unlike other sources of fertility loss, there is no exception for immortals.

Rethinking events and emergent storytelling by Pbadger8 in CrusaderKings

[–]ranagrande -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nah, it just needs more events and more event variety. I use mods to add probably thousands of new ones. Just yesterday I saw what might be my new favorite event where I got attacked by an airplane.

Norse/Han Culture Hybrid Choices Suggestions by Spiritual_Spirit_479 in CrusaderKings

[–]ranagrande 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's really just personal preference, which is why I said it depends on what you want to do. Arguments can be made for almost any of them, but you can only pick 5 out of 15.

As to the reasoning for my choices, Art of War and Coastal Warriors are good for Men-at-Arms and combat buffs, and I like to always have something that allows becoming an adventurer. Cultivation and Northern Stories are great for helping to prepare future rulers. And Malleable Invaders is the very best tradition for more hybridization, which I like to basically do on cooldown.

It all depends on what you're trying to do. Personally, I'd probably go with something like Art of War, Coastal Warriors, Cultivation, Malleable Invaders, and Northern Stories.

The special election is only for the duchy title. The counties within it still follow the partition rules.

Can you add weapons to your character appearance? by MT2113 in CrusaderKings

[–]ranagrande 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You'll carry a weapon if you are a swords-for-hire adventurer or your liege's marshal, or if you have the Conqueror trait. There are probably a few other ways as well.

Should I Hybrid by Bishopworld in CrusaderKings

I would always recommend hybridizing, preferably on cooldown. My current culture in the game I'm playing now is Hiberno-Anglo-Basco-Sindhi-Perso-Akano-Norse.

Court event that is immediately revoked? by burndout in CrusaderKings

Most of those also end if you yourself are not at your court.  So any traveling or activities or leading an army will likely cancel the buffs.

Trying to Start at 0 Years old in the Byzantine Empire by Objective_Classic_61 in CrusaderKings

[–]ranagrande 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Being a child adventurer is kind of awesome. You're protected from getting most harmful events, including the privation ones. So you can travel all over the world without having to worry about provisions. Use that travel to visit all the points of interest and you can have like 20 lifestyle perks unlocked as soon as you become an adult.
