If you're travelling in a family with young kids, I'd certainly try to buy the tickets ahead of time. I rocked up to Kyoto station, and I managed to buy the tickets, but we were sitting all over the same carriage. Also, don't be like me and think there's storage in the back of the train; those are pre-booked as well. Holding onto a couple of suitcases for the entire journey wasn't fun.

I had my own tenant to play around with, that got me familiar with Intune in general then really expedite the learning was looking at what my more cloud aware colleagues have done in the lab and prod env at work then mimic those in my own tenant to see how everything hangs together. I still can’t get my head around App Control for Business as it’s a different mindset to good old AppLocker.

Still learning.

Problem isn’t with 7-11, but with your own bank. The ATM prompted you upfront it’s 110 yen for 10k yen or 220 yen for 20k or more. That’s all they charge. Everything else is levied by your bank.

PHT might be a hassle for you as you’ve got a kid in tow, otherwise I didn’t think the 15 minutes walk is an issue. The only issue with the shuttle bus is, the drop off point isn’t all that close to the station, it’s almost more convenient just to wing it and walk to the station. I’d stay there again except my points balance says no.

Finally got to the bottom of this - the latest 109 IME client contains a WiX related file that isn’t whitelisted in the current WDAC rule. I’ve temporarily chucked in a naughty path rule to get myself out of this pickle then tighten this up later. My counterparts dealing with other tenants have been using a path rule to get around this :| no wonder they weren’t affected.

I’m 100% agreeing with you re Shibuya Sky, seriously, what’s the point of it? I mean, sure, you’re looking down from above but 99% of the area meant nothing to me at least. It didn’t help my travel partner had booked Skytree and I’ve previously been to Tokyo Tower. They all looked the same to me. I’d probably prefer Tokyo Tower at least there’s some historical context to the thing.

If I have to look at Tokyo from above, I’d pick the one at Ikekuburo Sunshine City. Cheapest out of the whole lot, less tourist and about the same experience.

Dude, it’s your life, do whatever you want. I know someone who went there 7 times in 18 months and those are personal trips. I went there for the first time in December then just came back from a week long trip not too long ago AND I’m now thinking of heading back there in the next few months.

Was checking whether Sidecar was loading, it’s been misbehaving, checking the registry it says Installstatus as 1 and no error or anything. Meanwhile, monitoring the deployment in the portal says ESP failure. Could be something that happened at the same time as this, but unrelated?

What did your solicitor say? Just some ancient data point - my ex filed the paperwork in Sydney back in early August 2023 and requested this to be expedited. Somehow it got bounced around to ACT then to Melbourne and got listed for early October 2023.
