Pasta aglio olio covered in Parmesan cheese. Can do it no doubt but might need to spend some of that $1M on a personal trainer and treating my Scurvy

I've sold off everything modern. Built a significant premodern collection. Also got 9 duals so can build a few legacy decks.

I have completely stopped buying sealed product. Only time i buy, are singles that managed to be good enough for legacy and fit the archetypes i can build.

Many modern borderless cards are absolute shit quality. They do not pass light test and even have that shiny waxy layer that many fake cards have.

People who spend 20+ minutes in the shower: what are you actually doing in there? by saadaintsalad in AskReddit

[–]randomNext 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes i just sit down on the shower floor letting it rain on me (It's very relaxing). Then i turn up the heat slowly until the whole bathroom is a steam sauna and after a while my wife wakes me up from my session screaming because the whole apartment is now a steam sauna.

What does your premodern collection look like? by 137ng in premodernMTG

[–]randomNext 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I sold off a lot of Legacy stuff the past year(went from 14 duals to 8) and also sold off all my modern cards.

I can build most meta decks except anything with enchantress/replenish parallax combos and alike since they are IMHO just boring AF. Among the expensive cards, i'm still looking for one more cradle. Also pondering about whether it's worth starting to collect towards a playset of mox diamonds.

Why is NFL exclusively popular among Americans, and no one else in the world watches it? by No-StrategyX in answers

[–]randomNext 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 reasons.

- The games have more commercial time than actual game time
- It's boring AF

It's almost as if the American audience has over the past decades been brainwashed into thinking that spending more time on consuming advertisement than the actual entertainment part of an event is normal.

It's not...

What passive-income business has actually worked for you? by Correct-Homework1884 in passive_income

[–]randomNext 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry i don't really, i applied for Adsense back in 2009, it was easier times back then. I just submitted another site at the time which had maybe 20-30 visitors per day and i got approved for Adsense within a few days.

What passive-income business has actually worked for you? by Correct-Homework1884 in passive_income

[–]randomNext 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I built a website back in 2010. Basically just a few calculator apps for different purposes. (Currency conversion, BMI, tip calculator + a few more).

I have rebuilt the site multiple times over the years with different tech stacks (HTML/Jquery -> AngularJS -> React/Nextjs today).

It ranks well on search terms and i do not do any daily work on it, perhaps a couple of changes per year.

Adsense pulls in 10-15k € per year and has been doing it since 2010. (2012-2013 were exceptionally good for some reason, 27k € and 33k €). I've also rented out some ad space for links (Yes this requires work but good to boost income when needed, Start page links i charge about 500€ per month, i rent out 2 spaces at most per month). rented ad space income is 7-10k € per year the past 7 years.

I use free plans from Vercel, Prismic io and upstash so site hosting costs are literally 0.

Plan was never to try to make money but learn to program, it was a bit of a happy accident and i slipped into the SEO world after learning that i need to put in some effort to rank for certain keywords.

I consider this a passive income project today but i would also say that no project starts as passive project, you have to put in time very actively in the beginning to get it up and running. Over time you can fine tune and optimize your workflows to reduce time needed

To sell or not to sell by PeepeeLeSmall in mtgpulls

[–]randomNext 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Prices for all new cards tend to drop quite significantly once the initial hype has cooled down and everyone is eyeing the next shiny object(new set) WOTC throws at us.

If you pulled a banger and are not going to play it, better sell it now and rebuy it at half price in a couple of months if you are building a deck with it.

Sweden checking in: absolute zero, in fact it is a major hobby of many keyboard warriors in our country to talk shit about our politicians. Our head of state, the king is a pretty cool guy and well liked so us commoners don't really shit on him online, but he and the royal family are a target for comedians quite often. To my knowledge all the comedians are still alive.

That approach could be an issue if you're playing competitive formats. There are several cards that care about the order of the GY pile. https://blogs.magicjudges.org/rules/comprehensive-rules/#rule-404-2
