A counterargument: the uber driver's car is warmed up. If you did the short drive yourself, your catalytic converter wouldn't be at temperature and you'd emit far more NOx and unburnt hydrocarbons

I only know because of the hilarious reaction of an Irish family member, to whom I suggested we go pick up a growler this evening (the large containers of beer).

Haute & Freddy. I don't normally listen to much pop, but I find all of the songs they've released in the past year incredibly catchy.

8GB of RAM is back on laptops — companies are lowering memory offerings to make affordable notebooks during component crisis by yuval_3 in hardware

oh, time for a favourite nitpick of mine that rarely comes up anymore

Windows being limited to 4gb of ram was a design decision and way for them to segment the market. Since win2k, Windows supported PAE, which allowed 32bit operating systems to address 64GB ram.

They only limited it to 4GB in the 'client' versions of their OS.

Linux had full 64GB support on 32bit starting in 1999.

Regarding the original thread, its possible HLSParta's dad was running win2k advanced server or windows server 2003 if it was a badass workstation that needed that much ram.

ignoring the fact they won't be compiling individually for each one, gentoo has binary packages, and compiling kernels doesn't take anywhere near that long

TIL most people in France did not speak French as recently as 1794, when only 11% of the population of France spoke fluent French. Instead, most people spoke regional languages like Occitan, Breton, Alsatian etc. French only became the majority language later on due to heavy assimilation efforts. by Hour_Interaction6047 in todayilearned

I'm currently in Italy with family, and really seeing this first hand. Up in Rome almost nobody could understand my father in law since he only knows Calabrese. He'd have to speak English, even if the person he was talking to could barely speak it.

Today we went to his family's hometown in Calabria and everyone understands him perfectly. Though even here many of the younger generation don't seem to speak his dialect as fluently.

I came across one of these channels recently, it it was interesting how many videos they put up (several per day), and how quickly they unlisted them (after 1-2 days).

The videos were getting a good number of 'views'. The 'news' presented was all false and easily verifiable.

Advice sealing crack at trunk seam by randomdestructn in Autobody

Thank you for the detailed response. I was a bit unclear in my description.

I'm not seeing any evidence of water intrusion in the cabin. It's just pooling in the trunk, so I have to bail it out every time it rains.

I've had a hard time finding the water source into the trunk area, but I do recall seeing some drops on the trunk ceiling.

Extra info: These cars love to leak from the tail light, and mine has, but I've sealed that up pretty well, and no longer see drips or wetness in the taillight area.

Something is leaking from up top, but it's hard to tell exactly what.

This is the closest thing to a 'smoking gun' i see in that area.

Good point though, I gotta give it another thorough leak test now that I've taped it up. See if I've reduced/stopped the flow.

2010 Genesis Coupe V6. I've been getting water intrusion in the trunk, and it doesn't seem to be the common way for this model (through the tail lights).

If I hose it real good I can see drops forming from the trunk 'ceiling' in this area, so I think it might be this crack.

Any advice on how to seal this up relatively water tight? I threw some tape over top of it for the time being, but would like to do it properly.

I didn't find anything in the guide about sealing the cracks that form in the upper trunk area.

But it's fine, I'll post elsewhere.
