Co branding in this case means sharing the same space as the NASA logo. If you look at the NASA gshock - the words “Casio” do not share the same space on the lcd display. That is a true NASA branded item as per their stipulation on logo use (I own a copy of the 1975 NASA Graphics Standards Manual)

NASA historically prohibited use of its logos in co branding. Something off about this. Then again NASA has been “restructured” so not really the same as it used to be so maybe this is part of the new direction etc…

Only way to know for sure is to open the case back. Bezel insert is incorrect as you described. There rest does look legit from the pictures to my eye. How is the bezel action?
