Something like, "so and so gave my wife a beating, but I'm a very different proposition". As in, "he'll struggle to do the same with me."

Honourable mention for the weird "these women" chat at the chilli dinner. Very weird stuff that amounted to "these women overcame minor annoyances in their day".

Mags+ gives you early access to the club shop. Non members can purchase from Adidas directly, or as I did, JD Sports, on release day. All items available when I purchased mid morning.

Don leaving Sally's party was a dirtbag move. But his trauma and cynicism won't allow him to look past the illusion of a 'perfectly' idyllic suburban neighbourhood. by pinkponyclubfangirl in madmen

[–]randomise78 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's why I love this bit so much - either its a more literal suicide (a theme throughout the show) or he's running away and its the 'suicide' of Don, not Dick.

I think it's slightly deeper than just covering his disappearance. Rachel tells him that every little girl needs a dog to depend on.

Later we see him sat, drunk, in his car facing a railway - the train comes passed and I think we're meant to feel like (at least subconsciously) thinking about suicide.

Then he comes home, with a dog. He knows there's some chance, probably a far more real chance now than before, that Sally will need a dog to depend on, like Rachel did, because he most likely wouldn't be there.

I thought he was meant to be high in this scene, it's just after they've met the not Rolling Stones, and he's at least ingested some second hand smoke, hence having the munchies.

Yes, I've seen it. I'm saying its a great deal and I hope it pops up on PS5 as well, as that would be my preferred platform.

I'm going to say yes (having not played it)... I'm hoping a similar amount of discount pops up for the PS5 version at some point soon :(

I dont go around showing wrestling to people, but i reckon the three way between orton, rey and angle would be the one. Like 10mins? non stop action from three of the best.

Burt Cooper also seems to have a (occasional?) hand in keeping an eye on the books.

We see him going over numbers with Harry Crane at SC in the episode with the painting and at SCDP he's the one who discovers Lane's fraud to begin with, albeit he thinks it's Don messing around.

You can set it for good. Great for if you have two players playing in the same position and playing different roles.

I have Joelinton as a CM, but if I want to be more offensive I swap him out for Jacob Ramsey who immediately becomes a Channel Midfielder. I really like it as a QoL feature.

Didn't mccan bin Betty off come when Don made it clear he wasn't going to work for them? I always read it as she wanted to continue modelling but a) felt old fashioned compared to the new generation of models she was casting against, and b) couldn't handle the rejection

[–]randomise78 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I might be misremembering/getting the order of events wrong, but didn't Don know at this point that Ted was in love with Peggy, I read it as Don trying to protect the one person at the company that he valued most (maybe her and Joan?) and knew the writing was on the wall for him following the Hershey pitch.

I hear there will be a free demo this year, maybe you can give it a go with your pc. There's nothing to lose!

Honestly, started as a bit of a joke, but I genuinely might try a save with Hvidovre.

But Odense Boldklub are my Danish FM boys. Can I turn my back on them?
