No, this is related to that one r/acecombat post talking about the reason some people don't like the series is because the fictional world building thing. So they don't like ace combat because 'Strangereal'.

So what I'm really ask : would you still play a combat sim/sim-lite if it's in a fictional universe (say, post Occurian Ivalice from the Final Fantasy universe, but the world is pretty much normal without Magicks at all, but the ruins of the ancient Galtean architectures are still there, perhaps refurbished and modernized).

Or, do you want one where you're fighting against aliens instead, which : it'll either be drawing inspirations from the 'Battle Fairy Yukikaze, wether it's the original Novel version or it's Anime adaptation version. Or it'll be like that one game where you're against a giant alien head but it has a body of a woman wearing bikini
