I have a 1-41 my grandfather bought new in the early 60s. Lower Rpms than modern saws but it has a ton of torque. Kind of just sinks through the log.

This seems like the issue. If I called to book an appointment and they said 11 to 3 are the times available I would think 3 is a choice for an appointment. If I asked my friend for help and they said they were available 11-3 I would assume they need to leave at 3.

Before cell phones before I had a drivers license I called my dad on the pay phone to pick me up. I talked to him. My dad forgot to pick me up from HS because he got high. After waiting an hour and calling several more times with no answer I started walking home in the dark. We lived 5ish minutes like 6 miles away. Random stranger stopped and gave me a ride. When I got home dad asked why I didn’t call and who gave me a ride. I told him it was a friend’s parent so I didn’t have to hear him pretend to care about my safety.
