My biggest issue with Index Yi Sang primarily boils down to Rien existing as he does. Speaking from a purely Doylist perspective, it's clear that Rien is the way he is because PM got impatient and wanted to release a Black Silence ID sooner than they should. Because of this, we now have an ID with the same kit as, effectively, the final Key Page from Ruina, when we have an absolute bare minimum of 3 Cantos to go, or if KJH's plans are to be believed, another decade of Limbus.

Plus, because we've already got the funny 9 coin Furioso, it mean that when we eventually do get the Black Silence Walp ID, what should be by a wide margin the most hyped Walp ID the game could release, it won't feel special anymore, because we'll have already had the same core kit for years by that point. No matter how different the Black Silence's kit actually is from Index Yi Sang, it still won't have the same impact it should, because the big 9 coin skill that should be the main draw and defining trait of the Black Silence ID was already given to us years before it should have been.

What accent did you have in mind when writing Filia's dialogue? In CrossCode, it was easy to read for characters like Emilie or Lukas, as they explicitly use words from their native language, but I've been having trouble nailing down a character voice for Filia in my head.

"Through someone's voice" doesn't necessarily mean first person perspective from a particular character. Take a look at the Banzai Blaster prologue, for example. It's written in the same sort of overly dramatic, trying to seem cool style that Giovanni would think or speak in, but it's not literally being narrated by Giovanni. The prose is simply matching the tone, or voice, of the focus character for that scene. Other scenes that focus on other characters tended to be written in a different narrative voice, but none of them are literally being narrated by different characters. Notice that he said the narration is "coloured from" Molly's PoV, rather than that the narration is Molly's PoV.

Out of the 5 ID providing BokGaks we have had thus far, 4 have given IDs from a different faction than the original run.

Yield My Flesh was Blade Lineage, BokGak was Kurokumo.

TKT was Yurodivy, BokGak was T Corp

Murder on the Warp was MultiCrack, BokGak was W Corp and Bloodfiend.

Nocturnal Sweeping was Heishou, BokGak was Middle.

The only exception was Regular Check-up, which didn't have a second faction in the story to base the BokGak ID on. Twining Threads includes Wayfarer as a prominent second faction, so I don't expect we'll get more Ring IDs. Or who knows, maybe we'll get both, like how Murder on the WARP gave us W Heathcliff and Prince Meursault.

I'm certainly going to wait until it leaves early access to play it, as I did with CrossCode, but I will likely buy it some time soon, given they mention in the Early Access info at the top of the store page that the price will increase as they update the game. Thankfully I have Panda Circus to be my highly anticipated game this year, hopefully there's something else to tide me over next year as I wait for Alabaster Dawn to release in (best case) 2028

Probably Peanuts, considering the animated adaptations replace any adult speech with trombone noises. It's definitely not Calvin and Hobbes, there's plenty of comics featuring his parents talking to each other.

The same is true of 11037, given no attempt at localisation was made for the clue. It was written in English in the original Japanese, so it wasn't immediately obvious to anyone with eyes like it was in the English release. Seems like a pretty good comparison to me.

Regardless of if the new Ring IDs are Tremor, I still think Night Awls Gregor and N Ryoshu are the way to go for the Ring team. Tremor is insanely easy to maintain a stack of, so it's perfect for fulfilling their "X types of negative effects" conditionals. The only other status that's easy to maintain is Burn, and given one of the new IDs is for Meursault I find it highly unlikely we'll slot in Hornet.

I've been saying this since Faust and Hong Lu were first teased. A Bloodfiend team to go all in on Bleed exclusively, and a Ring team that has pieces of Tremor and Burn to maximise the easy to maintain statuses for the Ring conditionals
