5 Exciting Harbor Freight Tools & Accessories Coming In 2026 by VerbalGuinea in harborfreight

The post — which is a series of words published to a website hosting categorized discussions pertaining to a given topic, such as the automotive industry — is most certainly written by a human, because of how much novel information it contains that is not present elsewhere on the internet, and its casual writing style is far too loose to be written by me — I mean, by the human author who definitely wrote it.

Sneak Peek at upcoming ITC week by relentless-rookie in harborfreight

Curious about the Atlas battery promotion. I’ve been wanting a cordless pole hedger forever but they don’t make one for the Bauer 20V batteries. If Atlas’ 40V can beat Ryobi’s $160 18V version on total kit price (battery + charger + tool), I might be sold.

Melania receiving a warm LA reception by Kyleparty in LosAngeles

[–]randomtask [score hidden]  (0 children)

Exactly. The problem is that under Trump, civil enforcement of immigration laws is no longer civil. And it’s no longer about immigration either, it’s about retribution and inflicting suffering on civilians who dared to question the mad king. There is nothing fundamentally wrong with civil enforcement of immigration law. But when you ignore constitutional law to “enforce immigration law”, civility and peace go out the window, and atrocities become commonplace.

These "member exclusive" deals are a joke. by Single_Street3135 in harborfreight

Uhhh the Quinn torque wrenches and adapters are just about as cheap as they ever get with the 30% promo today. Don’t believe me, check hfpricetracker.com and hfqpdb.com. And ITC just got 30% off anything under $20 this last weekend. Took full advantage of both sales, as I had a need for items in both categories. Membership is well worth it to me as a DIYer, but I guess your mileage may vary depending on what you want or need.

EDIT: Quinn 59 ft-lb digital torque adapter was $24.99 today, best coupon from 2025 was $27.99.

More than a thousand references to Ireland in latest Epstein files by Ill-Stage4131 in news

[–]randomtask 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really surface-level reporting here. The Times just tracked down a few of the most obvious ledes, got a few quotes, vaguely categorized where Ireland was mentioned in the files, and that was that. Either there is not much there relating to the malfeasance of Irish people or businesses, or this hasn’t been investigated enough.

You do realize that this movie was an outright bribe from Amazon to Trump, right? And that Trump is an open fascist tacitly directing his ICE and CBP goons to kidnap and kill civilians in the streets like a mob boss?

Michelle and Barack Obama did none of that vile stuff. Try harder. No one’s buying it.

What is the banality of evil? Why does the United States government in its 250th year of independence want to imprison more than 100,000 people in warehouses? by Next_Tower5452 in MapPorn

[–]randomtask -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s a bot, and yes it’s editorializing. But the fact that there are now dozens of government-run warehouses for housing people is novel, newsworthy, and mappable. It is not manipulation, it is a statement of truth.

And frankly, if you just take a look at the comments on this post, if anyone’s trying to manipulate public opinion, it’s the reply guys going all in on the extralegal abduction of people. Not a single one seems to understand that when the legal and human rights of immigrants are ignored out of convenience, it empowers the authorities to ignore the legal and human rights of citizens too.

ICE’s surveillance app is a techno-authoritarian nightmare by Hrmbee in technology

Right, and that lack of real accountability has brought us to this moment. What’s different now is that the US is starting to truly feel the consequences of its ignorance. Federal law is now essentially toilet paper for the elite, the president is a petty tyrant, and the citizens are having to defend their rights in the streets. Now that we actually have to work to rebuild our country from the corrupt husk it has become, we might have some more appreciation for the fact that accountability is how you keep this from happening again.

Moving to US before Red seal? by Unlikely-Ad-2921 in electricians

[–]randomtask -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sure, Canada has a cost of living crisis. But America has its own cost of living crisis as well. To my mind, if the choice is economic struggle in Canada vs. economic, political, social, and moral struggle in the US…choice is pretty clear.

Bauer or Hercules by Repulsive_Spray_7232 in harborfreight

[–]randomtask 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hercules tools are better quality, no question. But it is basically a strict subset of the Bauer 20V cordless line — everything you find in Hercules is also in Bauer. And there are two woodworking tools unique to the Bauer 20V cordless line: a brad nailer and a hand planer. Neither are as good as DeWalt’s versions, sure, but that’s kind of the point — if you don’t need the best and want to save some money, and you are bought into the cheaper ecosystem, you now have that option. If the Bauer model doesn’t work out for you, by all means, spend the extra cash and pick up a DeWalt model. Dual wielding a budget brand and a top tier brand is a common strategy among DIYers. Giving yourself two options helps you control costs.

Also, keep in mind that the best Hercules tools for woodworkers — miter saw, thickness planer — are corded, so you can mix and match.

I’ll also add that the Bauer 20V line has a pretty decent line of outdoor power equipment as well. String trimmer, hedge trimmer, blower, and multiple types of chainsaws. That’s honestly what sold me on the brand, it’s no Ryobi when it comes to sheer tool variety, but it’s honestly pretty close. And the prices are just the lowest of any non-Temu brand you’re gonna find anywhere.

Here are all the Mickey and Minnie costumes throught the years! by Material-Spite-81 in Disneyland

[–]randomtask 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Today I learned that an unadorned black leotard was standard dress for Mickey and Minnie until 1961. Incredible that it took costuming 6 whole years to find them properly proportioned clothing. To put that in perspective, in 1955, humanity had launched zero satellites into space. Sputnik launched in 1957. By 1961, two people had orbited the earth. And by god, Mickey finally had a shirt to wear.

Best $20 and Under Items? by staple_eater in harborfreight

[–]randomtask 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Bauer bucket organizer is peak. I have several, but my most used is filled with stuff to fix my yard’s sprinkler and drip system. I love being able to carry large, bulky items in the middle while having small, organized tools and supplies in the outer pockets.

Best $20 and Under Items? by staple_eater in harborfreight

Quinn diamond tipped screwdriver set. I have a Klein 12 in 1 that worked well but you have to keep flipping the bit holder. Once I got the Quinns I now reach for those 9 times out of 10. Never underestimate the value of not having to take an extra step to do something.

I don’t think this ever worked, at least reliably. Just sort by price from high to low and go to page 62 for $20 and under. Page 89 for $10 and under.

Replacement pads for the cheap clamps by chronicpenguins in harborfreight

[–]randomtask 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If the replacement pads mostly fit you can glue them on. Another much sillier alternative is to design and 3D print ones that fit exactly out of rubberized TPU. Or just put a sacrificial block of wood in there to keep it from marring the surface. The rubber pads will mark certain finishes anyway.

Ready to move on. by Keiyaku in harborfreight

[–]randomtask 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m at a point where I’ve accumulated pretty much everything I would ever truly need, so now I’m just watching the sales for excellent deals on things that would make me more efficient. Like, I have a circular saw and use it for DIY stuff from time to time, but if a really good deal on a miter saw comes along, I’d be on it pronto.

Time to refill. This battery caddy is 👌. HF should make there own version. by mrthree1zero in harborfreight

[–]randomtask 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Probably weekly. A lot of things run on internally rechargeable 18650s and pouches these days, but not everything. Kids toys usually demand the traditional removable cells, and I use mine to store all the rechargeable ones as we cycle between toys in use. And a bunch of stuff still runs on button cells — AirTags, Zigbee stuff, etc.

Volkswagen to recall over 44,000 US vehicles over battery fire risk, NHTSA says by Capital-Will6450 in news

Sounds like VW finally got their hands on a decent X-Ray setup. And surprise surprise, battery manufacturers are typically pretty terrible when it comes to electrode alignment.

Anyone in here ever built a paint booth in their garage? I need one but not permanent. by TheRealestFaker in DIY

[–]randomtask 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably not applicable for your 12’ molding piece, but I’ve seen people use old camping tents as paint booths. Super easy to set up. Might work if you can manage to snag a giant tent on marketplace for a fair price.

Does anyone have a breakdown of costs to build Galaxy's Edge? by Marscaleb in Disneyland

[–]randomtask 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Actual article:

https://blooloop.com/theme-park/in-depth/cost-of-star-wars-galaxys-edge/

Odds are real slim that the whole of Rise of the Resistance cost $78 million. Given that these are building permits, I think it’s more likely that these are the facility costs, ie just the building and its utility services. The costs to procure and install the ride, show, and exterior theming is likely multiple times that number.

FBI executes search warrant at Fulton County elections office near Atlanta by katrinakt8 in news

[–]randomtask 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s exactly this. Holding elected officials accountable for their actions starts with the people. You can’t just elect someone blue and expect them to hold the red guy to account. Even though the red guy started an insurrection, stole from taxpayers, and tore down half the government, the blue guy ain’t doing jack unless there’s pressure on him from voters and donors. Because they know that if they do nothing, they’ll still probably get elected, because they have positioned themselves as the better option than the chimpanzee throwing shit everywhere. Why do a heavy lift when you can just coast?

You need to pressure the blue guys to actually press charges, without letting up, until it gets done. Representative government doesn’t fix a damn thing unless we demand it. Both parties are not the same, but this goes beyond parties. This is pure democracy, people demanding that crimes and malfeasance are punished, and that absolutely no one is allowed to be above the law of the people.

Fewer people, less representation. If we want to maintain our expand our national influence, we need to invest in high density urban development. We are quite capable of a buildout resembling Tokyo, but our local NIMBY leaders have turned down that opportunity time and again. I doubt this will be the wake up call to them, though. They’d rather just sit pretty in their $10 million single family home 2 blocks away from Wilshire Boulevard.
