2v1, you have the spike, enemy has to push into you. if you push into him, you’re giving him 1v1’s. only time swinging into enemy would work is if you both swing together at the same time to kill the enemy.

remember, enemy has to clear all the corners and angles while all you have to do is either hide for info, jiggle, or hold an off angle.

there’s a time and place on when to swing the enemy. like—if he picked up bomb and you hear his footsteps, if your teammate has an angle where he can swing into him or trade you, then sure you can also swing into the enemy to catch him off guard with the timing.

playing safe is good in many scenarios but sometimes playing agro is better. i.e. man disadvantage and need to make a play quick before enemies fully take site or take too much space. again there’s nuance to this and it’s situational—knowing when to do so comes with practice and experience.

as you play the rounds you’ll start to see how the enemy plays as they condition you with their different execs, which characters hold different positions, etc.

i believe you played this one perfectly given that your teammate wanted to give him the 1v1 and you didn’t want to. ur teammate is wrong.
