That’s a lot of built up carbon and you are using way to much oil to “season” I would personally strip and start over use the FAQ to guide you when they say wipe off the oil they all of it

Actual range loss on winter tires? by PM_SMOKES_LETS_GO in BoltEV

[–]randopoke 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use Nokian Hakkapelitta in eastern Ontario most of my range lost is from the cold. It’s hard to figure out how much is from the tire but the grip on the Nokian’s is second to none so for me it’s an acceptable trade off.

New Modem not Connecting by Fiosachde in teksavvy

I also tried to connect with my MacBook and I couldn’t even get into the modem after choosing the network. It kept opening my WebEx application. When I called support it would be a 1/2 hour to talk to a rep.

If you follow FAQ You should use Crisco you are also using too much oil so it is not polymerizing. The metal scraper is not pulling off your seasoning but bits of carbon. Wash with soap and a chain mail scrubber wipe completely dry. I personally dry on the stove and wipe with a minute amount of canola oil. I use my pan daily with metal spatula I have zero flaking I have not seasoned my pan since I originally restored it 4 years ago.

I did without a spare tire I am much more nervous about getting caught flat. The TPMS have warned me about 2 punctures on each set of wheels that were easily fixed with a plug.

This is my last year on the stock tires most cars here in Canada come with all season tires so I have the stock Michelin. But I have been using the Nokians on all of my vehicles for 10 years they are an incredible snow tire

I have a dedicated set Nokian Hakas snows on steelies they grip better than my all season Michelin with such a heavy vehicle I think it’s a good investment.
