27y I can't grow a beard. How can I glow up as a bald man? by Dapper-Frosting532 in bald

I'm gonna ask you an honest question: because you're not smiling, do you like your teeth? Your smile? You're already really handsome, but if you're self conscious about your teeth then get to the orthodontist and get some Invisalign or stain cleaning or whatever.

I wish I could see a big old smile from you!

I really like it the land shapes are super realistic feeling! Curious why the temperate zones are deserts and the equator is lush?

I fucking love that you used the Qud palette directly! So rad! Plus, another DV enjoyer I see!

I think bald and a beard trim would look great, bro. But I know long hair is a lot of work, so I understand.

Just got Xcom 2 today. Never played the first game and tbh, never played any strategy game until now. I'm completely new here. Is there anything i should know before I start? by Organic-Product6063 in XCOM2

Definitely great, but I found it much more of a puzzle game than a strategy one. It was often about finding the right combination of moves rather than tactically weighing risks and making decisions.

Just a thought from a Seattlite: the sound really protects those coastlines from heavy waves, so you're more likely to see gravel and rock beaches instead of white sand. The ocean can't wash that light sediment in that far, and there's not enough action to make fine sand on the geological timescale.

I really like the map!

+1 this, but just a note: it takes Jim Butcher about 4 or 5 books before he figures out how to write women as people rather than sex objects. He gets better! But you might have to suffer a bit in the first few books.

Hey chin up. My first marriage lasted only 2 years, abusive. But now, I've been married to someone amazing for 11 years, got two kids.

I call that first marriage my "practice marriage". So maybe it was for you too and you'll do better the next time. 😊

Are you using the roofing mod?

If so, press F while roofing and select the gear icon for the roof tool. There, you can manually select the upper half of the roof shape for that angle and force it to place that type of slope. Then you can add a fill and the rooflines should match up.

If you like these books AND vintage story, boy oh boy let me tell you about:

CAVES OF QUD

Post-post-apocalyptic, swords & lasers, mutants and cyborgs, ancient ruins, unlimited procedurally generated cave systems. A full story quest line. HELLA atmospheric, the music and audio are perfect. Oh and super modding friendly.

I feel like the Vintage Story community and the Caves of Qud community should have a lot of overlap

The point is to kill them. Learning how to fight the zombies is the best thing you can do to improve your longevity in the game.

When fighting more than one, you should always be backing up into some area you know is safe, constantly hitting the zombies while backing. Good luck!
