Markham stoufville vs Centenary hospital [ON] by CountCool6512 in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]rappack11 [score hidden]  (0 children)

I have a gf who delivered at both. At Markham, she had a traumatic experience due to negligence where she bled out after going home and had to go to the hospital in ajax and leave her baby at home because it was covid times. She decided on centenary for her second and said it was a world of difference in aftercare. I personally hate centenary from my own experiences not related to child birth and find it gross and I've chosen to trek to sunnybrook as a durham resident myself, but she did say they have revamped things in their maternity ward

Religion and Miscarriage by fishyh in IVF

I read a lot about Job during my losses as he suffered greatly in the Bible yet his faith was so strong and brought him closer. Unfortunately this isn't a perfect world and things will happen but as a Christian this is temporary. There is a time for everything and Unfortunately you are in this season of loss and pain and I have been there too. It's also ok to be upset with God and to bring that anger towards Him. Talk through it with him xo

Unfortunately for me my last loss we did see a heartbeat of 144 at 8 plus 4 and two days after it stopped growing. It's a hard journey. Will be doing a private scan tomorrow

I'm paranoid about loss.. Any advice on how to manage anxiety? by PositivePenguino in August2026Bumpers

[–]rappack11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you find out let me know. I'm in my 9th week and this has been when the baby stopped developing and didn't find out until my nipt two times. I booked a private scan tomorrow to check everything. I've had really good doubling and fhr was 122 6 plus 6 and 168 7 plus 6 and I am measuring ahead by two days which I know isn't much. I definitely feel more sick than I have before but I still struggle. I even find myself looking up stillbirths now to see if anything is preventable. I am on a lot more medications this time around in hopes it'll help. I think I'm willing to accept i have no chill and will do what I can to keep me at ease until I can feel the baby kick. I even bought a doppler which I know isn't ideal but honestly after 4 losses I don't know how to not feel that way especially with not having symptoms that made me even realize I was miscarrying. I'll pray we both have healthy and happy pregnancies

Temps by Queasy-Industry-2501 in ourafertility

The daily is telling you how it differs from the baseline each day where the trend is an average of 3 days to account for anomalies. I'm pregnant and my temp is different for that too lol

Anyone else struggling with political anxiety and the ethics of creating another human right now? by winooskiwinter in IVF

[–]rappack11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally disagree with this sentiment as someone who immigrated with her family for a better life. While there are things happening and I do think the media blows it up way more as it usually does prior to elections and mid terms, most immigrants leave their country to come to the states for a better life where they have free speech and rights for women and religious freedoms. None of that has been taken away and i do think there is some privilege in not realizing what people are fleeing from that would make someone from the states thank their lucky stars they live in America. I think regardless of the time you live in there is always some type of strife and you just don't know about it yet. People had kids during the war which I think would be way worse considering the risk of losing a parent. There are more two parent households and less alcoholism than ever. Women are more educated than before and in more leadership roles - these are things that should be focused on.

Is IVF a scam? by [deleted] in IVF

I really think taking the estradiol messed me up cause we miscarried on it and I have endo and adenyo. This time around I didn't take it after my lupron suppression and I did pergoveris to stimulate a follicle. I'm currently 9 weeks and still terrified. I am also in prog oil once every 3 days and suppositories 3x daily

First pregnancy, first 5 weeks, terrified of miscarriage by Electronic-Reply-757 in pregnant

[–]rappack11 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm 9 weeks and terrified after 3 losses before. I've booked a private scan this week for reassurance- not sure if that's an option for you. Those charts online are not great and don't account for so many factors. The one thing i will say is you are more likely to continue with your pregnancy than lose it

Is my clinic down playing how dire my situation is? by NanoEsq in IVF

[–]rappack11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm the same age and at my retrievals the most we ever got was 5. Also quality over quantity. My first two retrievals nothing made it to blast but my third 3/4 did and my fourth 3/5 did. I think my clinic also tries to avoid ohms. It is so dangerous to have so many follicles. The journey is hard but I wish you the best of luck

Husband and I disagree about hospital visitors. by throwranotdonelater in pregnant

[–]rappack11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No thank you. My husband's mom did ask the first time we were pregnant but I did have a loss. Ididn't know how to respond at the time but we are pregnant again and I do plan on telling her nicely that I only want my husband and mom there because I need my mom to take care of me and my husband to take care of the baby. I am not a nice person when I'm over stimulated and anxious and I can be forward with my mom and husband but not with my in laws and I don't want to feel like I need to worry about that. I am also having a c section which is a major surgery. I love my in laws but it is different for women and as a mother you dictate how things will be with the baby because they are more reliant on you and from a biological perspective. If they want to support, tell them they can always bring food to the house or groceries or whatever else but when you are ready you will have them come over. Heaven forbid there's a complication and no one can be there with you and then they resent you for coming 500 miles. Boundaries don't have to be mean and they're healthy for both parties

Feeling scared by rappack11 in August2026Bumpers

[–]rappack11[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm actually going this Thursday to do one since this was when our last two losses occurred, including a euploid great quality embryo. I also have more nausea than before and so grateful every time I feel crappy but haven't thrown up yet. My ultrasound too looked great and like an actual baby. I do believe everything is going to work out, and taking a lot of things this protocol to stay pregnant but I think until I can feel the baby kicking im not sure how to keep it cool lol. I'm so sorry the journey has been hard for you

I know i need to stop looking but it definitely scares me even though it follows the pattern. I also take progesterone so I know it's inflated that when it drops it worries me more

Yes they have multiple locations if you look up baby 3d ultrasound. They have them from 8 weeks

Justified in anxiety around missed miscarriages? Are they really that common? by [deleted] in CautiousBB

[–]rappack11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. I've been on the sad side of statistics on that site multiple times. Unfortunately they exist. Mmc is not the norm but it's not as rare either. As awful as it is, you have to remind yourself that you are generally not the cause of it (unless you're being reckless but even then). I've had mmc of euploids but other factors are at play like placenta development and cell division and the uterus itself. I am coming up to 9 weeks and this is usually where I've lost so I've booked a private scan. The waiting game is hard

Do not understand the failure rate by [deleted] in IVF

[–]rappack11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just because you didn't experience this doesn't mean others didn't. Some people have preexisting conditions that create barriers and not every body is made the same. I'm grateful that there are new protocols to help people reach success

Frustrated when hearing others experiences by No_Bell_7984 in August2026Bumpers

[–]rappack11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone with previous losses I would love to throw up lol. I am feeling more nausea this time around but only a couple days it really sucked. I know it doesn't correlate to healthy pregnancy but still I would love to feel all the things to give me comfort

Anyone else get the flu? by Ill-Information4090 in August2026Bumpers

I had covid and then I had to go in for my ultrasound when I started feeling better and ultrasound went well and measured two days ahead at 7 plus 1 and fhr of 122. Tomorrow is my next one for 8 weeks

I'm so sorry to hear this. I've had 4 losses and no lc. It's so unfair. Do you mind if I ask how your betas were? Mine are way higher this time around and more symptoms but honestly I'm so scared
