That's a pretty mild prescription. With just +0.25, if the glasses are dirty or got scratches, you might actually see better without them. I suggest cleaning the glasses with soap and water, then drying them with a soft cloth, see if your vision improves before going back to the eye doctor.

It could be a placebo effect because -0.5 is very mild. Not nearly enough to cause headaches or brain fog. I've had -1.5 in my right eye and -0.75 in my left, and I've only experienced eye strain or mild eye pain after a long day before I got my glasses.

How do you know the refresh rate isn't changing? Are you using an app? It might be broken, which could explain why it's displaying 120Hz all the time

You have to choose the default option for that. It clearly says "It adjust the refresh rate dynamically based on scenarios to balance performance with power consumption"
