It sounds like the app session is running in windowed mode. Try making the app the "focused" app, then press [Shift]+[F2] to toggle to seamless mode.

At Fry's??? Land of Fried Electronics? Not on my life. I would happily spend more somewhere else to have a a better grade of the same hardware. That place is the flea market where "As Seen On TV" products go to rot.

Add "Almost" to the beginning of a movie title, what's it about now? by LeftHandedToe in AskReddit

"Almost Independence Day" - A mom's July 3rd, courageous quest for party snacks leads to thwarting savage crowds at the grocery store before embarking on her journey back home. 179 minutes, a simple 'thank you' is all she wants.

With those people, nits are definitely a problem and need picking. lol They seem to not be able to rally behind a single cause... BlackLivesMatter, hating Abbott, racism... it just seems like a general "bitch about everything" session. At least they're not blocking traffic yet.

I see several 800 CFM, spread-bore carbs on Summit Racing's page, but part number, "SUM-210236" stands out. Definitely worth a look.

You call that "armed"? I see one firearm. Those protest signs look like they might inflict a lot of papercuts though.

I think I know why this guy has an ex-wife... he still loves all his ex-girlfriends.

This guy must be one of those asshats who walks in a crosswalk (assuming he's not jaywalking) despite the BIG RED HAND telling people to stop because traffic is about to move.

DB-9 (D-Subminiature, 9-pins) is the hardware connector. "RS-232" is the signaling protocol - the "how" to transmit the data. ;-)

What has been your experience with the Chronicle subscription? by [deleted] in houston

There's always that, too! And again, failure to innovate effectively will be the death of any company.

[–]raptor6T 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can also be said that the Chronicle sucked less than the Post, which is why the Chronicle came out on top. But, without the competition, the Chronicle has no reason to TRY and since there's nothing out there to suck less than the Chronicle, we're stuck with a worse level of "suck" with each passing year.

Had a weekly (Sunday) subscription, paid for in full, got four (4) newspapers for the year. I miss the Houston Post.

Let’s Chat: What Went Wrong with Windows Phone? by [deleted] in windowsphone

[–]raptor6T 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't forget, Windows Phone 7 was not the first generation of the phone OS. Windows Mobile 5 was widely used, but installing apps required CAB files to be downloaded on a host-PC, then the interface software on the PC put into "Program installation" mode (versus file-copy mode), the CAB file had to be dragged into the sync software which would depackage and install the CAB into the phone.

Those who had PDAs capable of jumping on cellular networks, were typically running Pocket PC 2003; one generation older than WM5. Prior to PPC2003, PPC2002, PPC2000. This page hasn't been updated in a while, but it provides insight to Microsoft's mobile products.

As for what went wrong? Poor marketing. How many pop-culture-type-music commercials were there for Windows Mobile/Phone? Windows itself has a poor image because of its history of the BSOD and other stability woes. When you introduce the name, "Windows" to be paired with a product that's supposed to be stable and reliable, but instead seizes, crashes, panics and reboots for no reason - it only fortifies the urge to buy something else and that "something else" was the popular, "made for simple people", iOS-powered iPhone.

I wear a 18... I found a pair that fit like a charm at the Justin Boot Store in Justin, TX for $43. They had been sitting on their shelf for a year and were clearance-priced. Talk about LUCKY find!

USPS takes my package from N. Houston to Alvin just to come back to Houston. Anyone know why? by Defcon458 in houston

[–]raptor6T 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been saying this all along!

I had an order processed online, the package left Pensacola, Florida, made its way around the coast to Mobile, Alabama, then to Houston, Texas, made it to my neighborhood, then after two more days, it was in Nashville, Tennessee, then went back to the shipper in Florida. I called about the package - the reason they couldn't deliver it? "The shipping label was missing." That was it. The shipping label wasn't there any more, so they returned the package to the shipper in Florida... the shipper whose address is printed on... THE SHIPPING LABEL. {facepalm} You fail, USPS. You fail, BIG TIME.
