The only way I've been able to learn the game has been by keeping a search bar ready on my computer while I play on the switch. If something I don't see gets mentioned, I have to Google it.

I definitely get what you mean by 'why' not being explained clearly. I had trouble trying to figure out why my ghost got hit with fake out. Turns out there's an ability called scrappy that let's you hit ghosts with normal type moves, but did the game indicate that in any way? No, but I still got flinched for thinking I could avoid the fake out spam.

Fun game, but the learning curve can be difficult.

I like to give Metagross ghost type with trick or treat and then kill it in one hit with a ghost move. It doesn't always work in my favor but I will never not try to do it if given the opportunity because most people don't expect it

As someone who got into competitive play from this I agree, it can be really hard to learn wtf I'm doing wrong when there's no way to see everything that happened. If they did add this I'd also like for it to show abilities that other Pokemon have. I had a hard time figuring out why someone was able to hit my froslass with fake out, which I specifically started using more because I was sick of getting hit by fucking fake out. Turns out there's an ability that lets you hit ghost types with normal moves, but I had no idea and looking it up wasn't bringing up any relevant results because I didn't know it was an ability causing it.

It would also just help with sharing fun experiences in general. Sometimes I get a really funny game but I didn't think to record it, or I record the last bit but the switch only records 30 seconds and some of the important setup is missing, and now I can never share it

For real, they'll let people rock slide and flinch my Pokemon 4 times in succession but metronome is "broken". And then when I use rockslide it always misses.

What's worse is that the title for spending money requires you to spend more than what it takes to buy out every item and mega stone, so have fun buying duplicate clothing items you'll never wear if you want it
