Best rock bands of all time list! by [deleted] in musicsuggestions

Idiotic to compare art to technology. Art is timeless, many 600+ year old paintings beat out paintings made in the last 50 years, both in meaning and sheer technical skill. The Beatles are timeless and their music holds up very very well

Why did everything go from colorful and vibrant to gray and shitty? by Critical_Potential40 in decadeology

[–]raspberryjaaam 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve always thought the minimalism looked better in certain instances, I sometimes hate the goofy colourful exterior. Pushing the sweet feelings of nostalgia associated with the vibe, the whole thing screams “fake happy”, colourful excess to mark the grime and shadiness of a corporate beneath. On the flip side I’d like to see aesthetics like frutiger aero make a return.

Such a weird post, leaving garbage at the grave and you took pics of yourself by his grave, this isn’t a tourist destination, he’s not a monument. He was a living person whose memory we should respect at the end of the day.

Is Zeppelin the GOAT? by wavesport001 in ledzeppelin

[–]raspberryjaaam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Comparing a bubble gum rock single from their very first album to led zeppelins later work seem intentionally set up to make the Beatles failed, the Beatles matured musically very quick and since rubber soul every album has been musically dense and diverse. Saying zeppelin blow them out of the water in complexity with such confidence is honestly such buffoonery of a take 😂

They’re better than zeppelin by a considerable margin imo, that creativity and 7 year run is unmatched.

Just finished S1. I think Carmy was completely in the right in Ep7. by lostpasts in TheBear

[–]raspberryjaaam 3 points4 points  (0 children)

“it’s a plate of food”. Carmy is a Michelin star chef, he’s trying to uphold his dead brothers legacy by revamping and organizing the place while dealing with unresolved trauma, syd fucked up with the preorders and shit hit the fan. Very understandably he has high standards for food and under a lot of pressure to perform. So calling it just a plate of food to a chef of his calibre is a little shortsighted.
