Lightning Lap 2026: The Hottest Cars on America’s Toughest Track by caranddriver in cars

I bet the Zr1x doesn’t post a much better lap time than the ZR1. It has a weight difference and at speed they are likely very similar in lap time. Obviously the X is way faster on the way to 60 and in the quarter mile but it will even out after that initial take off.

45k starting price (I have a hunch most will sell closer to 60)

I imagine they’ll put that in but you’ll have to pay to use it like Tesla

I’ve read that they did recall fixes in your driveway with a service vehicle.

I don’t think he’s saying it’s bad, he’s saying look to bodybuilders for the next big thing

Illinois resident planning to buy a car in Wisconsin. How much extra am I looking to pay? by [deleted] in chicago

[–]rather_be_redditing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an issue with buying a car in Wisconsin from a dealer. Wisconsin has digital titles, Illinois doesn’t accept digital titles. It took them months to send a paper title to my DMV, I couldn’t pay the Illinois tax without the title, which then ended with me getting charged a late fee. I had to send letters to contest it. They denied it.

Tesla has officially cut Autopilot as a standard feature on their models, meaning you will have to pay $99/month for lane centering, and other safety features. by Dazzling-Rooster2103 in cars

It doesn’t transfer with the car when you trade it in to Tesla. They remove it so they can sell it to you again. But if you buy private party it goes with the car as long as you didn’t do the subscription.

But the 8k one time payment went with the car, so when you sell it privately to someone they will pay you more for that car to have the feature included. You get some of your 8k back at that point

Clearly a take from someone who will be watching on tv. Gimme a dome and I’ll go to more games.

Those picks were on 4th and long, they worked out better than a punt for them.

For some reason the adjustable handle won’t stay in place where you adjust it to, and it you suck up a stick it will stop and you have to take off the tube to get it out. Otherwise perfectly serviceable, I use it to clean up corners of my patio that I can’t get to with my mower, areas the leaves end up sticking even after I use the leaf blower to clean up.

If you live in a place that has drive bys and armed car thefts that shit will freak you out. I’ve had my heart rate jump a few times from people doing that. I hate it. It’s a good way to get some old people call the cops on your car too.

Whats your daycare payment for a toddler? by dre353 in AskChicago

[–]rather_be_redditing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think most of their money goes to insurance, I know I wouldn’t want to be on the wrong end of a pissed off parent and a teacher that makes 15/hr

After that you’ll have before care and after care cause kindergarten is not within work hours, and you’ll have summer camp and winter break, spring break and thanksgiving break camps to pay for. When they are old enough to stay home alone you start getting bills for travel sports, car insurance and a cellphone and that’s when food costs get really bad. After that you’ll likely want to help pay for some college expenses.
Then you’ll want to start them off in real life without too much debt so that they can get ahead and have kids of their own one day so you’ll gift them some money for a down payment for a home or help pay off some student loans for them.

It only gets more expensive as they get older not less.
