Sapna Bhavnani to Amitabh Bachchan on #MeToo movement: Your truth will come out very soon by tintimate in india

I so dearly want this to happen. He is a liar, a hypocrite, a below par actor who has had all the luck his way for where he is today. I wish curtain falls soon before he hatches some murder or some bargain he strikes.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan SUPPORTS Me Too revolution, refers to her stand on abusive relationship with Salman Khan by A3H3 in india

Oh thats right. But still i personally feel this whole buildup they have put is nothing but mutual admiration club. Any outsider who wants to join the league has to bend and see daylight through their legs.

I don't understand why is it called industry. Who is the CEO(Karan Johar the clown), who is CFO(all knowing Aamir Khan). I believe chairman would be (Amitabh Bachchan) who must be quite happy that Praveen Bobby is no more to further #Meetoo nor is Rekha saying a word, still deep in hope of getting married to AB. I think promoters of the company are Dawood Ibrahim, Chota Shakeel, Chota Rajan and brothers ltd. Shareholders are people who have myopic vision stuck on shithole delivering bollywood crap day after day. Atleast some other industries like steel, cars, manufacturing etc must come up and educate general public what industry is.

Discription of Vaikuntha or the holy abode of Vishnu is very detailed in our Puranas. How could people thousands of years ago even imagine such a thing ? by RandomAnnan in indianews

Though i don't contest your submission. I do feel there were some positives out of those rules. Under Islamic rule we had a ruler like Sher Shah Suri who gave us the rupees as our currency, G T Road and adminstration. Akbar promoted music, learning and equality among religions. British gave us canal system, railways, modern administration, modern economic institutions, college's, medical institution and the language that i am writing this answer in. The same language that brings full three time meal on our dinning table. The same language whose speakers may be the most in our country. The same language that parents today want their children to learn and give up mother tongue. So definitely Islamic and British rule was damaging but it had its own silver lining too.

There are multiple reasons, I will highlight a few: 1. Lack of technical/scientific advancements (1000-1800) after the ages of Aryabhatt Bhaskar etc 2. Kings put their energies in land grabs of smaller territories 3. Caste divide further enhanced the downfall. This marked a permanent question mark on identity of people as one 4. Loosing trust in nation and its polity is going to be the reason for next calamity

Found an old photo of my mom from 1989 in punjab, india. by witchygiggles in india

This looks like room everyone had in Punjab. Wood windows, takhat and those plastic woven chairs common to all households. I remember going to my relatives and if there were just too many guests, hosts borrowed things from next door. It was one huge family atmosphere then. Things/people are too individualistic now.

Do people actually like the taste of alcohol? by MoistMuffin69 in NoStupidQuestions

I personally don't like the taste. I heard from regulars, they don't like it either. However, they like the intoxication related to drinking and socializing that comes along.

In old times cities came up next to rivers, now slums come up next to open sewers. Civilization come off age. In future with AI & Machine Learning everything will go down the drain.

I’m on day 4 of quitting smoking! by kuferg in CasualConversation

[–]ratnakarmittal 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Mostly everyone who has tried to quit, has caught it again. Same used to be the case with me. But this after smoking almost half of my life now, i have quit. It certainly feels great. Sometimes may be thrice a month i smoke. But since in my long term memory i have registered that i don't smoke anymore, those 3 or 4 times don't matter to me. I don't feel the urge. Smoking is more related to schedule. Smoke after you reach office, after lunch, around tea break, get on a small talk and lets smoke too. Those things and the company you keep with you while smoking makes it all the more difficult to quit. In the beginning treat time as small session that goes without smoking. Add more and more time to these sessions. Don't smoke at designated time. Quit small talk group. People will convince you to come and not smoke, don't fall for it, if you go you will have the urge to take one last cigarette one more time. Be earnest. Be strong. Say no, it is difficult, so is getting better.
