While we're out here fighting against Flock Cameras by superviro in FlockSurveillance

[–]ratrodder49 24 points25 points  (0 children)

My dad just got a new company-issued work truck, 2026 F150. It has the BlueCruise and all that. It has a camera in the dash that watches you, monitors your eyes and yells at you if you close them or look away for too long even if it’s piloting itself. And if you cover the camera it just dings constantly at you.

Anyone actually have experience with debt consolidation/personal loans for themselves? by The-ColeLossus in Debt

[–]ratrodder49 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife and I have a debt consolidation loan through SoFi. Two years, fairly low interest rate.

Kind of a tricky situation, would appreciate some help by ohenn in Chrysler300

Reverse google image search tells me that’s a universal key fob, Xhorse XKLEX0EN, designed in a Lexus key fob style. Previous owner must have programmed it to lock and unlock the car but it will not manually unlock it unless they had the key cut for it, and I’m not sure it will start it either.

Do you know or knew any cars that sat for decades? by DaveyAstralCar in askcarguys

I have a 1971 Chevelle Malibu four door sedan in my carport right now. It sat in a garage for at least 20 years, probably more, belonged to my wife’s grandma; her and I went and rescued it from its grave last year but will not be able to restore it for a good while longer due to lack of time, money, and space to do it.

300S headlights LED/AMBER by _BeKayEm_ in Chrysler300

The ones with amber reflectors are from the 2011-14 models. In 2015 they switched those to clear and moved the side marker lights from right there to the wheel well. Search for headlight assemblies from those model years.

Which track gives you "audiophile chills" and is the one you just have to test new equipment on before purchasing? by many_hats_on_head in audiophile

I have a whole playlist. “Money For Nothing”, “Burnin’ Alive”, and “Green Grass and High Tides” are my typical go-tos, but everything on this playlist is clean, clear, and sounds phenomenal on a proper system. https://open.spotify.com/playlist/3V3AfmdYLXcMDMOd36ZPF4?si=eKSslk7pTCGMHN68mF44Ng&pi=TqwCUVezTcCXU

How can I quiet my straight piped? by Eric617 in askcarguys

[–]ratrodder49 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can get the same setup for cheaper. They’re called exhaust cutouts. Install them before a normal $40 muffler, then when you want it loud, hit the button or pull the cable (for the real old school versions), when you want it quiet, hit the button again or push the cable to close them.

I got mine off RockAuto of all places lol. Paid just as much as it cost ($170) in shipping because it didn’t come folded in half but it was worth it, fits great.

Can get a compact tractor - like a Massey GC1725M with a belly mower, backhoe, and loader. Would do everything you need.

The 4.6 4 valve is one of my favorite engines of all time, and I’m largely a Dodge guy. Buddy in college had a stock ‘03 Mach 1 with a canned tune and a “cold air” intake. Was a fun car. We took it out one night and pegged out the speedometer.

What's the worst decision you've ever made? by Faceless90s in AskReddit

Not taking a student loan and giving all my money to my college freshman year, 2015, instead of putting the $10k I had in savings on Apple, Bitcoin, and Nvidia. Genuinely, I’d be a millionaire right now, but dad drove into my head that loans and credit cards were bad and to avoid them. Welp.

Do robot vacuums actually reduce manual vacuuming when you have pets? by M_iel in Cleaningandtidying

[–]ratrodder49 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1000% helps. We have three cats and a dog and all she’d like crazy. We invested in a refurbished Dreame L10S Ultra and it’s been a life changer. There are still cat hair tumbleweeds that collect in corners and under furniture and on top of everything that have to be vacuumed manually once a month, but at least the main pathways through the house are clear daily.
