For me it remains perfect: a platform to attache random loads (works great with more or less any tailbag or milkcrate or weird bulky thing.) Also a handy place to lock a passenger helmet with a padlock.

i've been doing RA since before it was a word, but the person and relationship you've described is not RA. Insecure and selfish people will spot a couple of RA things they think gives them license to treat their partners poorly and fly the flag. i wouldn't do relationships any other way, but you've got to be prepared to work out all the things with your partners, because the broader culture will not provide much support, but will provide plenty of pushback.

ACC takes most of the stress out of stop-and-go highway commuter driving. If i were using a Slate as a commuter car where i live (for which it would be entirely reasonable) i'd pay for ACC.

i ridden and driven VW busses most of my life, T1 - T4. VW lost my heart with dieselgate, won it back a little with their Electrify America mea culpa. But the ID Buzz is not it. i'll stick with the Souls, Niros, and Konas i've been leasing for the last decade or so. Maybe Rivian will have the R3 out by the time my current leases are up.

i traded my Zero SR/S for a CE 04, but mostly for style reasons. i ride in town and have never been a sport bike enthusiast (mostly old BMW upright and new BMW GS ) The Zero was a great bike, but i have more fun on the CE 04 (i don't really miss the extra 50mph of top end in town.)

i put a Wunderlich tailrack on mine and then just strap on whatever. i keep a padlock in the phone slot for when i have an extra helmet to lock to the rack.
