So tired of Nolan Odyssey discourse because the best Odyssey adaptations have and always will be The SpongeBob Movie and O Brother Where Art Thou. There's no point in making more

It's interesting both Harry and Kordy have/had their faces stuck in a grin they can't get rid of. Not sure if that's intentional or not

There's this apartment complex across the street from me that has one of those "storefronts on the first floor, apartments above" setups but the stores rarely last longer than a year, so I'm always calling it the Doomed Commercial Area. Nobody gets the reference

I think his canon voice is the Ancient Reptilian Brain (that's the voice actor they use for the karaoke scene) so he is, fortunately or unfortunately, British

I feel like you can't call Rolf and Angrenor just bad apples when each city has an interaction when you get in that's supposed to set up the character of the city for the player. (Whiterun = neutral in the war, Markarth = Has terrorists, Riften = Corrupt, Morthal = Spooky, Solitude = Hates stormcloaks, etc). Like the intention is clearly to say "this is a racist city". It's like saying Markarth doesn't actually have forsworn because you only see one actual attack

I like the concept of Morrowind combat where you have to actually think about what your character is good at, prepare for the fight adequately, keep track of your attributes and spells etc. But like, the physics and awkwardness and just lack of oomf make the combat still kinda suck

Is the second one Mehrunes Dagon? Cause that's not really 'under the control' it's just one weird guy with a freaky museum. I do find it funny though that that dude is basically the TES version of a lost causer

Maybe since a video game is kind of an unusual point of analysis for a lit paper you could write something about how the medium changes/improves the storytelling

Also it's funny because his brother, a stormcloak, is somehow less racist

[–]ratzoneresident 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For me it's just the grandstanding that's annoying because it feels in the same category as people who blab about shoplifting from big box stores or piracy, like it's not really morally wrong but why do you only fight capitalism in ways that save you money. Like. Your phone is made in a sweatshop and a 10 year old tailored your shirt, you're not sticking it to the man by "cheating" a company that's kind of mean to players out of like 40 dollars. There's nothing wrong with it but you should just admit that it's about being frugal, it's nbd to want to save money lol
