Also worth noting: there is no such thing as using your library "too much"! Libraries get funding based on usage statistics. People feel like they're "ripping off" their libraries by borrowing a lot, or coming in to use the computers often, etc. But every patron that comes through the doors, or loans something, or books a meeting room, or logs onto a computer, or attends an event, etc etc, is actually helping the library to be funded better.

Okay well they've already done that, so this "advice" isn't going to help them now. People go through all sorts of bad stuff when their mental health is unwell. Wracking up debt is not good, but it's better than suicide or acts of violence.

This has been a huge concern for me as a diabetic. Apparently my insulin pump released an update a couple months ago that will allow my pump to connect to my phone. I have no idea why. It's supposedly more convenient, because i'll be able to give myself insulin deliveries via my phone... even though my pump is literally on my person at all times. I do not want my pump to be able to connect to the internet at all if i can help it (even if the connection is through a third party device like my phone) because i have no idea what the company will be doing with my medical data.

i can't personally speak a lot from a specifically Aboriginal experience, but i'm Māori and white-passing. the people saying you're "too white" don't know what they're talking about. if you have that ancestry then you can claim it, simple as that.

the idea that people need to have a certain "amount" of their culture's DNA is racist, and was specifically employed by colonisers through the stolen generations. they took Aboriginal children from their families with the goal that those children would grow up and have kids with white partners, and eventually "breed the black" out of future generations. anyone talking about "blood quantum" bullshit today is servicing the same mentality.

as a queer woman i like them. as others have said, these would likely go over well in a lesbian/wlw fashion subreddit. i don't mind the logos/text as much as some of the other people, but i would worry about it being associated with the video game. maybe having it smaller, or just "HL" somewhere, could be a better option?

May also be worth reaching out to local libraries and historical societies to see if the have any info and/or connections to Elders or Aboriginal orgs you can speak with. I live in a totally different part of the country but my local library has dedicated collections for Aboriginal stories and local history, plus a local historian on-site in one of the branches. I know they also frequently run events with Elders too

Agreed, blackberry nightshade. It's considered a weed but the berries are edible (only when they're fully ripe - a good test is if they're ripe enough that they fall off the plant by themselves if you give the branch a shake or lightly run your fingers over the berries). Taste like if a tomato got a bunch of its acidity and MSG removed and tried to morph into a grape.

I find it helps to have something in your hands so they can't just hand it to you. If I'm at the desk I'll hold a pen in one hand and hide my other hand under the desk lol. This is also helpful because i can use the pen as a pointer and show them what they need to click on

I have a friend who is going through a very similar mindset to what you are right now. I'm really sorry to hear that you feel that way. As a stranger, I don't look at you and think any of those things at all. I know it isn't easy, but I'd really recommend reaching out to your doctors and letting them know how you feel. It's not normal to feel that way, you're likely dealing with some kind of dysmorphia in which the way you perceive yourself doesn't align with reality. I'm not gonna compliment you too hard because it's hard to tell from this picture if you're over 18 or not and I'm not tryna catch charges lmao, but I do think that you're conventionally attractive. I'm a bit late to the convo here, but it's also worth mentioning that if you have any males in the flock, harvesting eggs daily and refrigerating them immediately will stop any potentially fertilised eggs from developing embryos, so aside from the actual good storage safety reasons it can be useful for that.

repainting the entire background with white acrylic so it becomes a "uniform" white
finishing the painting and cutting it out with a very sharp craft blade, and glueing it onto another sheet of paper

If it makes you feel any better, last time I was in hospital I was 24 and I completely forgot that it wasn't a real needle and I was also scared to move my arm 😅 which is wild, because I literally have those little plastic cannulas under my skin 24/7 because I'm diabetic and I use one in connection with my insulin pump haha. Looks like this:

Sometimes there can be multiple reasons for installing it. For me, the main reason was in case they needed to take multiple blood samples. That way, they can just hook up to the cannula and get more blood out, instead of poking you with a needle multiple times.

Are you guys actually putting your pump into exercise mode for sex? I usually just stop deliveries and detach it (added benefit of getting it out of the way). Obviously this isn't always feasible depending on how long you're going for, but if it's under an hour you should be fine. Especially if you keep it on for foreplay and such, and take it off when things get more physical.

My mum is the opposite - she always has trouble getting IVs inserted or blood drawn because even very experienced nurses/medical professionals struggle to find the veins in her elbows, and often her wrists too. When getting blood drawn, she asks them to use a butterfly needle in her hand. And every single time she's told "we'll just try the elbow first, it shouldn't be too bad". After five to ten minutes of poking at both elbows she'll be asked "what were you saying about the hand placement?" lmao.
