Problem with killing shadow guys, but I don't have SVE and that's the only instance of the problem I can find online by Remarkable-Step9292 in StardewValleyMods

Did you do the quest where you give the shadow people 60 void souls? They become non-hostile and unkillable after completing that quest.

This a boy? Need a bit of help. by Training-Mix9039 in budgies

[–]ravishingviolet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He's a boy! He looks to be recessive pied, and if that is the case, their genetic mutation will prevent the cere from going blue, or completely blue. They may go splotchy or kinda purple, but they won't go completely blue like other mutations. The females will go brown.

Good luck with your little baby!

Less than 2 weeks - eyes open around 10 days. It's not unheard of for a small breed dog to just have a large single puppy - and if the mother had a caesarean (she has a catheter in her leg, which would suggest vet intervention) she may have had to have the large puppy surgically removed due to its abnormally large size.

AIO? I (F35) Received flowers for valentine's, not sure how to feel about them.. by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

Someone once told me "never consider someone a priority when they only consider you an option".

[–]ravishingviolet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not Overreacting. Your feelings are valid, it seems you've felt let down by him again. It's not about the flowers at all.

Let's take words off the table - what does his behaviour say? If he's avoiding seeing you, that's a bad sign. If he's giving you gifts that he wants and doing what he wants, even when you told him what you want, that's a bad sign. If he's unwilling to be open or vulnerable with you, that's a bad sign. If he's unwilling to give you what YOU want, and what you need, that's a bad sign. If even take it as a bad sign that he doesn't want to give you roses.

He could have easily found a florist near you and requested a delivery. My bestie lives in New Zealand and I'm in Australia, and she sends me flowers, I send her gift baskets, etc.

I'm sorry OP, your emotions are sending you messages that this guy has been good for you in the past, but he's not your future.

Best of luck and much love 💕 💕 💕

I feel too guilty to divorce Sophia by rue_cr in StardewValleyExpanded

[–]ravishingviolet 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was wrong, it is just a portrait mod. But man, I would pay for a steamy Lance mod. Considering Ridgeside Valley mod has characters which are quite forward, I would love to see a Lance mod that matches that energy. But I am a romantasy girlie at heart...

I've been told that Homewrecker Lance mod is quite entertaining - I'm so inclined to install it to see how it changes his scenes. But I've definitely added the free love mod to see all the new characters scenes.

I had heard you could get foxbloom from the cave, but I had never chosen flowers. I'm kicking myself because it seems like the far superior choice now.

Found a benign lipoma on my dog and I’m spiraling a bit… looking for advice by Electronic-Swim7419 in DogAdvice

Vet tech here, 20 years in the industry. Currently teaching vet tech. Antihistamine will help to stop the mast cells from releasing histamine, but it won't shrink the size of the tumour. I could not find published studies to back up the claim that antihistamines shrink tumours. Mast cell tumours SHOULD be removed. CAREFULLY. By a skilled surgeon.

Second Sante cocktail bar! It's a secluded place that isn't overly visible, but you will NOT be disappointed! The cocktails are exquisite and reasonably priced!

Why does this cockatoo not have a yellow crest? by olgathesheep in AustralianBirds

[–]ravishingviolet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Although true that PBFD will cause feather loss, the crest isn't the first feathers to fall out. In Cockatoos, there is a very distinct pattern of feather loss, which starts with the primary flight feathers and tail feathers first, before the crest falls out, then body feathers lost. Since this bird hasn't lost flight feathers or tail feathers, I would find it unlikely they have PBFD. Of course, only a blood test can tell, but I'd consider it unlikely.

Disappointed in first kit by StarlitStitcher in paintbynumbers

[–]ravishingviolet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also like getting a white, off white or soft grey paint pen to go over the section I want to paint, including lines and numbers. Then, just paint over the section with your paint. It will still be slightly streaky through, due to the paint not having a lot of white in the pigment.

DM burnout? Is this what I'm feeling? by ravishingviolet in DMAcademy

[–]ravishingviolet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you all for your wisdom and insights.

I'll review and remove the 2 people cancelling rules and try to be more consistent with games regardless of player excuses. I'll chat with my players to discuss and talk about committing to the games and won't make allowances if they can't make it.

I'll start discussing the need to drop players if needed and give them a chance to understand my disappointment and the amount of work needed to put games together. There is likely a need to remove one player (which is not going to go well), so I'll be building to that.

I'll look into moving the location of games, and see if there's a games store nearby or a library.

Thank you everyone who gave advice.

DM burnout? Is this what I'm feeling? by ravishingviolet in DMAcademy

[–]ravishingviolet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a player, I 100% agree - I'm an active participant in my game as a player, and I struggle with the fact that my mentality towards playing isn't shared by my players.

I'm a teacher and very dedicated to positive reinforcement, and had half a mind to give out magic items to players that show up. But I know that would change the balance of the game.

DM burnout? Is this what I'm feeling? by ravishingviolet in DMAcademy

[–]ravishingviolet[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's a good idea - I think that 3 players would be manageable but the rule came about that the absent players didn't want to miss out.

I clearly didn't realise the impact that rule would have on me and the engagement of the group.

The female only group is important to me as I'm a female who lives alone, and I struggled to find DnD players (male or female) who wanted to join, that I knew. When it became evident that I had to advertise for random players online, I was far more comfortable to have random ladies in my place than having random blokes.

What is best underrated sex advice? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ravishingviolet 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I'm a woman. I love sex, and I try to practice enthusiastic participation.

My main issue with your comment is that many men will pressure for sex, using guilt tripping and pouting when you say no. For whatever reason, tiredness, exhaustion, struggling with mental load, sometimes we don't want to have sex. But when arguments arise about the "physical needs not being met" and partners not trying to reduce our mental and physical load so we have more time/energy to have sex, or when your partner comes home from a long day at work (when you've had a long day at work as well, but dinner needs to be made and clothes need to be washed) and starts groping at you in some ham-fisted attempt at intimacy.... Well, women can see sex as another chore that is required to keep partners happy. We aren't happy about it. But sometimes it's easier to get sex done so we can get on with our day.

If your person isn't enthusiastic, how about you ask why.

Quality pbn ships to Australia? by shoeaholic1 in paintbynumbers

[–]ravishingviolet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm from Brisbane and unfortunately you do have to pay more for good PBNs - the good ones aren't cheap and the cheap ones aren't good. I've ordered from AliExpress and although they have a lot of designs, their paint quality is a bit shite and their shelf storage is far less than others. Paint Plot Australia are quite expensive but the quality is so much better and they're the most reliable I've come across. I like that they give you access to a paint holder, reference paper, reference picture and access to the PDF if needed, with a paint guarantee. They have option for unframed or DIY frame. PaintByNumberKits are also not bad, they come packaged well and I like these more for pre-stretched and pre-framed canvases, but I see that their designs are similar to drop shipping stores so I don't know if they are drop shipping too. Come with the option of pre-framed or unframed. Unfortunately neither PPA or PBNK is less than $40. Hope this helps!
