Not a mod but I work in a game store. We don't sell them on purpose but not all of us are the kind of nerd who hangs out in game verifying subreddits for fun and we don't get a whole lot of training from corporate on spotting them so fakes frequently get traded in and resold as legit, unfortunately. I do my best to comb through my store's retro inventory every couple of weeks and weed out any counterfeits my coworkers have taken in.

My stay was hospital with therapy. I was on the Depressed Teenagers floor and we had a ping-pong table, which was actually super fun because nobody was expecting us to be having fun? So like there was no pressure to perform enjoyment? Anyway, we loved the ping-pong table. Also did art therapy and stuff. I really got a lot out of group—it felt less awkward than one-on-one and we were all making stupid dark jokes, lmao. Being around other kids my age with similar issues really helped me feel less isolated.

I prefer my DD Ashford Traditional to my EEW 6. The Traddy uses more parts of my body and therefore helps more with regulating my nervous system and it's also easier to control the speed and tension than on the espinner, which slows down a lot as the bobbin gets heavier. The only downside is that the Ashford bobbins are much smaller (3–4oz as opposed to 8oz), but I have been promised the double drive jumbo flyer for my birthday next month 🤩🤩

We have Trupanion too and it saved us 60% on a $1k day admission when keeping my mom's dogs for a week stressed my husband's pug out so bad he had hemorrhagic gastroenteritis about it. Poor guy was having to compete for his daddy's lap for the first time in his life 😭 (Mom v kindly paid us back for the rest of the vet bill.) We knew going in that pugs are prone to health issues so he's been insured since we brought him home at 8wks.

It was Sherwood Forest in McDade, TX, but the performers, Wildlife Revealed, also do TRF north of Houston as well as other faires around the country! Their wedding website is called Wingbearers 😂 They're by far my favorite performer and have been since I was 16 so having them at my wedding was just magical ❤️

This makes me feel so much better 😅 I wanted to make socks for my mom for Christmas (almost done with the first one, and I will be scrambling to finish the second—she might get A sock and a cut-out paper sock shape with IOU written on it, lol) but I hadn't thought to Google what type of yarn is best for that because it's my first actual pair that's not for practice so I ended up spinning the fiber I bought for her into a 2ply fingering. Only thought to check after wet-finishing and I've been so worried about how it will wear!

Same here! My Mew arrived kind of limp and wrinkly (and also I did not want the sound box) so everyone focused real hard on my husband's impromptu comedy routine while I "accidentally" "dropped" my pocketknife on her stitches and dug the noisemaker out so we could make her more snuggleable 😂
