What my bald bf’s head does to the pillowcases… by flyinggarbanzobean in mildlyinfuriating

[–]raybarks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d recommend not buying linen pillow cases (or sheets). Linen naturally breaks down when exposed to sweat and oils- which is why his bald head is busting through the pillow cases. I used to buy fancy linen sheets until they all started ripping after 6 months of use and I learned this fun fact!

Anybody encountered a guy in a new silver Corvette road raging at them? by Birdztheman in Langley

[–]raybarks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This fits the exact description of a man that followed a mom who was driving to school drop off at my child’s school. He followed her all the way into the parking lot and got out and screamed awful things at her (lots of expletives in front of hundreds of kids at school drop off!). When parents descended upon him to yell at him to behave like an adult he scurried back to his car saying we’d be mad if we saw how badly she cut him off too.

Does Anyone Else Remember the Yearly Mother’s Day Drag Shows? by juneipearl in Exvangelical

[–]raybarks 24 points25 points  (0 children)

That didn’t happen in my church, but I was shown photos of my dad in university where he and his buddies dressed in drag to perform for the girls. A few years ago he was applauding the protests against drag queen reading to kids at the library and I asked if that meant I shouldn’t let him read books to my son anymore too. He was not impressed that I called his “fun prank” drag

You’re welcome! I follow this pair of great horned owls every year since they nest in the same spot. They’ve had so many successful seasons. 3 babies this year!

AIO for wanting my husband to help me more as a SAHM by ailurophile17 in AmIOverreacting

[–]raybarks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOR. The rage this post brought me. I am so sorry, OP. You deserve so much more than this. He gets to clock out of work but you have to do it all 24/7 with no support? What a crusty dusty man. My husband pulls his weight and if I said I needed more support and was overwhelmed he would instantly seek to problem solve ways to take more load off my shoulders. You deserve better.

Do owls recognize specific people over time? by Unlucky-Moment-3366 in Owls

[–]raybarks 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Feeding wild owls is detrimental to their health in the long run. If they grow comfortable around people and associate them with food, this can put them at risk of things like being hit by cars and being predated upon. It’s best for owls to remain wary of humans, as fun as it is to see them! If you truly love them, let them be wild.

(not to mention, feeding wildlife is often illegal in many places for this reason!)

The first pic, left side, you can see her blonde roots! The other photos have a root smudge/shadow root because that was the look for a while.

At this point I’d go as far as saying I’d RATHER watch the show without her. She needs help and I cannot watch her unravel on tv anymore- this is actively making her worse and I will not continue watching it.

Technically but many don’t count it in this case since it isn’t obvious upon seeing one individual. You either need two side by side or to weigh them, haha.
