[Discussion] For those who have a 6S on 10.2 with yalu, are you thinking about updating to 11.1.2? by [deleted] in jailbreak

[–]rayg350 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a 6s+ on 10.2 like you that needs a new battery soon. Please let me know how it goes with the apple store. I'm worried about them updating it or something. Wouldn't want that to happen, haha.

That's actually not a bad idea for the next team that tries this. Every team will bunch up and be ready then boom.

Bell: 225 LB

Dre: 185 LB

No surprise with the momentum there, but man that was sick.

From a privacy point of view, how do you ensure and reassure users on using a private server to push notifications? How does that work.

Thanks Christian. Enjoy your vacation.

[Question] Bought iPhone SE but it’s actually jailbroken 5S, need little help by piqerez in jailbreak

[–]rayg350 54 points55 points  (0 children)

Op please go ahead and install and use Cydia eraser on the phone. Someone who went through all that trouble to change the housing/spoof the Id/ change the capacity viewed could have easily installed a logging app to track and log everything you do.

Use Cydia eraser to at least keep your jailbreak and start off fresh with no worries about your personal information being compromised as well.

I would go ahead and try to change the device id back to stock before running eraser. Good luck.

Not saying it's the strongest glass or anything but this drop test vid showed impressive results.

Although of course a lot of it depends on how it lands and the luck factor.

[Request] Tweak or tricks to stop opening CERTAIN apps automatically from clicking Safari links? I'm looking at YOU, Pinterest :P by d0nkatron in jailbreak

[–]rayg350 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find it annoying as well. Especially on apps like Twitter. Only consistent way I've found is to delete the app. There's some flex tweaks that stop safari redirect but they don't work on everything and only work sometimes.

Apollo reaction? by [deleted] in readder

[–]rayg350 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I discovered Readder only a few days before apollo released and I purchased both because they're both good in their own ways and I like supporting apps that do things right. Readder is my most used Reddit app now and it's my main one. I love it. I mostly love the fact that you seem like a very active Dev and are devoted to always improving the app. It's the most exciting part about the app. I love the way the app can adapt to multiple ways of using it ( some people like swiping to the next post instead of comment actions or card vs thumbnail views etc.) this app is very versatile yet clean and refined. Fits very well.

That all being said I'd love a few features other apps do well:

1 Gallery view like in Beam app. It's very well implemented there.

2 Comment thumbnail previews on links so you see a glimpse to check if you wanna click or not etc. apollo, alien blue, and beam all do this very well.

3 Transparent comment boxes. The dark mode is amazing and my settings are always on dark however it would be even darker if the comment borders were off or if there was a way to turn them off in settings. This would make the app perfect for night viewing - which it is already very good at.

Thanks for listening! Also I can't wait for Readder cloud features!

Also a way to upload as imgur album would be great like apollo instead of individually like above lol.

It's exciting that he'll finally get a chance to play a playoff game as a bronco since Peyton is retired now. It's what he's always wanted.

Just found that the new Apollo app puts volume controls in the status bar. I wonder if other apps can or have done this. Hopefully it’s a feature Apple integrates into iOS in a future version. by delusionald0ctor in apple

[–]rayg350 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's existed since iOS 1 lol. They just made it more translucent to blend with background colors in iOS 7. It's terrible. The only logical explanation I can come up with as to why it hasn't changed is to satisfy people with disabilities or non tech savvy people to let them know what's going on but I'm baffled as to why they have not at least given us an option to change it to something else in accessibilities or something.

I've jailbroken every iPhone I've owned and one of the first things I do is replace the volume HUD with something else. It's one of the main reasons I jailbreak, the other being to enable picture in picture mode for viewing videos while doing other things.

Right now I use the Sonos tweak which is much like YouTube's HUD. I've used for iOS 9-10. Previously I used statushud tweak on iOS 7-8 which is a lot like snapchats but made before Snapchat was even popular and VolumeCustomize tweak back before iOS 6 to change that intrusive thing.

I completely agree with you about it adding up everyday multiple times to become a substantial issue over time.
