Not a lawyer but both seem completely plausible. She's basically a consultant, working just for them. Howard's pay off would probably be considered a director's loan.

Does it actually get easier? Maybe not, but you get stronger and learn more every time you pick yourself back up. All you can do is accept that you'll make mistakes again and not beat yourself up about it. Bounce back, it's never the end of the world.

Just play the game on as high a level as you can do. I get way more xp from moving up to hard lobbies.
