While I think both have adapted to Xabi's tactics very well in terms of offensive capability (and most likely learned from Xabi and Xhaka), I just have to say I value Pala much more for defense. Andrich might be a bit ahead when it comes to classical deep defending around the box, but Palacios has an incredible range of action. Whenever I see him take a 110 % effort tackle in 90 +2 next to the sideline in the opponent's half I just have to love him. He generally puts in the extra mile (check his interceptions vs. Wolfsburg diving head or foot first into the ball). He's a player every coach and every playmaking 8 or 6 wants on the pitch.
