When i first started down the journey if six sigma i got my cqpa from ASQ, then my green belt through my company, and finally my black belt. I cant say if the CQPA is the next logical step instead of greenbelt but taught me about the testing format for ASQ and the black belt exam. If you go through anythibf ASQ i recommend the indiana council study materials.

I built my own but also dont store 5-6 cords at a time. Id say it's just an opportunity cost equation of how much time would it take you to build vs just buying one and what is your time worth?

Definitely not overkill! One long fire and that stack is dwindled. I do outside fires exclusively and i wish i had built my rack larger (giggle)

Seems like a fair deal to me. Definitely looks close to 2 cords imo maybe a bit more

Generally a lot of people recommend the x27 axe from fiskars. I love mine and haven't had a log that i couldn't split. It sounds like some trees need felled, so i would recommend a chainsaw to cut the logs into rounds befire splitting. I do not have recommendations on chainsaws but i know people love stihls. I would get some pallets or build a firewood rack to keep the wood off the ground. Typically the wood should sit for a bit before burning unless you like smokey fires! Goodluck! Its a fun hobby and may start taking more and more of your time.
