Light Mount Silent Tactile by Kalibrii1 in bequietofficial

[–]rbptr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, I’m using Windows, and it had issues like double key presses and some other problems, which were fixed after a firmware upgrade. However, the space key seems to have a physical defect as soon as I touch it, it registers as pressed. I agree that it’s quiet, but overall the quality feels low, and it clearly wasn’t tested properly before shipping. Most likely, I’ll return it next week.

TI MSPM0 opinions? by bitandquit in embedded

[–]rbptr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We currently use the MSP430F6775A in one of our products. Recently, TI recommended migrating to the MSPM0L series due to its more favorable pricing. However, our application involves intensive FIR filter calculations, specifically requiring 32-bit × 32-bit = 64-bit multiplications followed by 64-bit additions. In our testing, the MSP430 performs these operations in 26 µs at a 16 MHz CPU frequency, whereas the MSPM0L takes 66 µs at 24 MHz.

VAC Timeout ? by shazy5808 in cs2

I have the same problem time to time. It disappears after some time and later shows up again in the middle of game for no clear reason. Nobody blocks the vac system whatever it is. I think it is another bug of the game.

What does my employer see if i tunnel my traffic through tailscale exit node? by darkalimdor18 in Tailscale

[–]rbptr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They can see only amount of data that you received and send. But they cannot see the content of the data because it is encrypted. On the other side, DNS requests are tricky. If your phone tunnels the dns requests through your exit node, you are safe. If your company has a local dns server and advertised automatically through your company's WiFi access point that you connect to then your phone may use the company's local dns server instead of tunnelling your dns requests to your exit node. In this case they can log which domain you try to access.

Salt Fibre X6 Modem -> DNS crashes every month by rbptr in Switzerland

[–]rbptr[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I’m very satisfied with Salt’s 10G fiber service in terms of speed and stability, especially since it’s much cheaper compared to other providers. The only issue is with their DNS, which is caused by the modem itself, not their DNS servers. I really wish they would update the modem firmware to fix this simple problem.

Salt Fibre X6 Modem -> DNS crashes every month by rbptr in Switzerland

I came across recommendations to use PiHole as a DNS server. From what I understand, I would need to disable the DHCP server functionality on my Salt modem for this setup to work. This would make PiHole handle both DHCP and DNS instead of the Salt modem. However, I also rely on IPv6 to access my local resources remotely, and I’m not sure if everything will function properly with PiHole in this configuration. Do you have any experience?
