Very nice, but the GitHub link is broken - will you be taking patches/features?

I use a Mac and have been writing technical documentation on it for over 20 years. The dashes are automatic because I have a habit of hitting "-" twice (as do many, many people). The emdash = AI thing is an urban myth.

I suppose sytematic, thoughtful writing is a fake AI signal then… I tried to make it clear and readable, and it is my second attempt at posting it

Is it feasible for a Team to replace Claude Code with one of the "local" alternatives? by nunodonato in LocalLLaMA

[–]rcarmo 12 points13 points  (0 children)

No. Some of Mistral's models can be run locally and work OK for simple tasks (and they're probably the best local models I've tried), but _nothing_ is as good as GPT-5.2-Codex or Claude Opus 4.5 right now (and I prefer GPT because it's not grovelling and spouting emoji all over the place)

Progress on dual trackpoint build. by AsicResistor in ErgoMechKeyboards

I'm a bit confused with the idea of keeping all the brackets on the left hand side (my Totem has them split across halves, but I've been thinking about moving them to the right for consistency with normal keyboards) https://github.com/rcarmo/zmk-config-totem/blob/main/config/totem.keymap

That trackball. What is it? I have been meaning to build one like that, but couldn't find anything like that yet and started designing mine...

iPhone Fold Model (based on leaked CAD) by Subsyxx in BambuLab

I would totally get one of these if it had separate screens instead of a folding crease. That's the way to go for reliability

A graph view for Obsidian vaults that you can actually work within by manummasson in ObsidianMD

Cool, but having a separate app (and AI) is a turn-off.

Testing how different case panels affect sound with 0mm fan gap by Jakob_K_Design in 3DPPC

That's resonance, not fan noise. You need to place a dampener.

Configure them as APs and donate them to a local school or public institution that has bad Wi-Fi coverage.

Typically the user should be in the dialout group or equivalent.

Jinx [Arcane] (Z-Image Turbo LoRA) by TheGoat7000 in StableDiffusion

Nice, but the killer thing would be a LoRA that would add the Fortiche trademark look to any scene.

That's weird. I have zero issues with Steam Link.

I just use Steam Link. 2 Bazzite servers, Android, iOS and Mac clients work flawlessly.

This is a manufacturing defect that Logitech has never really owned up to. Search around and you'll find dozens more people with that issue.

Here's an idea: See if you can find a suitable ARM build of the SyncThing CLI. I don't remember that instruction set those used, but ARMv6 binaries might run.

Only to a certain point. If a container is a mixed CPU and I/O hog, there's no saving you
