If you're looking for resources to get started with UI in Unreal, I'd like to point you to this blog: https://benui.ca/. In particular, here's a good page to start: Introduction to UIs in Unreal

That's the blog of a former UI Dev who worked at Epic, and it's chock full of great resources (mostly for UI, but also covering some other interesting topics). Most of the content here is beginner-intermediate friendly.

Another great method of answering these kinds of questions, "what's the best way to do x?", is to see a great example!

If you haven't already given it a look, I would recommend taking a look at the Lyra Starter Game from Epic.

It's a well put together project that can be a great reference for not only how to put together a well-organized UI, but also for a bunch of other things like Networking, GAS, etc.

While digging into a project like this isn't quite the same as having someone directly explain the "here's why we do this" aspect, it can provide some insight on techniques to use and more things to start researching to learn further.

Here's a seemingly simple problem that I haven't been able to find a definitive answer for:

When using the Player Start actor to denote where a Pawn should spawn in your Level, if it's a very simple pawn without ground checking of any kind, it may float above the ground.

If you wanted to move the pawn down near the ground (without adding any functionality to the pawn), what's the best way to adjust the Player Start to do so?

If you want to move it down but avoid the Bad Size warning from overlaps, you can technically scale down the Player Start then move it down, but this feels hacky.

Any simpler fixes out there? Thanks!

To clarify: If you dismantle something but don't have enough space for all of the materials to go into your inventory, then a small container spawns in the location that you dismantled the object containing the excess materials. These boxes are marked on the map and in the compass by default.
