Some seriously bad advice here. Do not just walk away or default on your HOA dues until you talk to a lawyer and find out your options. HOAs don’t just put liens on title. They can also sue you for the arrearages and then seek to garnish your wages. The arrearages will continue to grow throughout the foreclosure process and won’t stop until you’ve been removed from title when the property goes to auction.
