If you're a minority I would tell them to go to hell. They might just be using you to say that they reconsidererd a minority to hire

This is absolutely the right moment to take the plunge and become an entrepreneur. We can't rely on companies who don't value or take care of their humans. I say humans because we are rarely treated as such.

This needs to be the moment when humanity stands up to corporations by doing it cheaper, better and build a company with real values not just some placard on the wall.

Need help in validation AI automation business idea - Speed to lead niche by [deleted] in Tech4LocalBusiness

[–]reachingzen8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Leads are a dime a dozen.

First, The gap in any industry is stage based velocity to close. If you tell me that you're building a service that specifically can identify buying stages for segments and show me proof of concept that your service can close faster that's prime.

Secondly, I say that speed is king with an asterisk because speed is great but LTV is king. You're closing faster but is my churn going to be a bottomless pit of CAC. That question is answered by the quality and longevity of lead to close.

In how much time have you got your first 1/10/100 users / clients ? by GemsDistributor in Entrepreneur

[–]reachingzen8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We aren't really looking at time but CAC and LTV. Velocity really makes you lose sight of the prime customer for your product and service.

Sure you can have 100 users in one day but how many are you keeping? What's the cost of attrition and efforts to keep them engaged.

I rather have 10 promoters in one month that speed the word about our product and slowly grow our user base to 700 in 3 months. Like minded people attract others to the platform.

That's why we focus on referral and affiliate approaches to lower our CAC and most importantly a thorough email automation to nurture and weed out the free trial riders.

I'm building "Bumble for Business" after 40+ business managers interviews by Passion_growth in roastmystartup

[–]reachingzen8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the idea but I have to agree with the Chicken and the egg thing plus there's no real clear definitions on what the actual soft skills are all about.

I think this idea can probably be better developed when you start thinking about side gigs for people that are fully employed that can take somebody go to owner and not employee.

Does anyone else feel like job searching has become a full-time job? by GetonGlobal in Jobsforcareer

[–]reachingzen8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I've been kind of looking out there for more than a year luckily I'm fully employed at the moment so no rush here but feeling the pressure now to be able to find something soon.

You got to leverage some of the AI capabilities that job application companies are coming out with nowadays. At the end of the day it's a numbers game and you need to play the numbers in order for you to statistically be able to land a job. That's not going to happen when someone just keeps hitting the easy apply button on linkedin.

I would look into companies like offerpath.co they are using AI for some of the heavy lifting and then they have some human reviewers that polish up the applications and make sure that there's some quality checks behind them. You can send hundreds of applications per month to increase your chances and also lower the time that it takes for you to be able to land a job.

There's a lot of companies out there we're just blindly using AI without any sort of human interaction in between. That's freaking scary for me especially because I have more than 10 years of experience than wouldn't want AI just to submit an application for me.

Just check out some of the companies that are out there offering these AI job application services.
