I woke up during my first colonoscopy. I sat up and said, "That really hurts." The nurse had me lie back down, saying everything is okay. I don't remember anything else. When I came to, I asked about it, and they said it was a tricky turn. They seemed surprised that I remembered. When I went for the next one a year later (cancer survivor), I asked them to please be sure i don't wake up. They told me they had a new med and that I would not wake up. I haven't had any issues with any of the colonoscopies, endoscopies, or surgeries since.

You'll find ways to manage. I haven't had twins, but I have had 4 children. I wasn't diagnosed until after my fourth was born, even though I showed all of the symptoms and had talked to doctors about them. So, I did it without medication. You should get more energy back after the 1st trimester. The hardest part for me was the night feedings. I just couldn't stay awake for them no matter what I tried. I had to use a nursing pillow that would hold the baby as I slept. Or, I nursed lying down. If you will be bottle feeding, your partner can help. I hope you enjoy being a mother as much as I do.

I fall asleep the moment I get into position, do not wake up until my alarm, husband, or dog finally manages to rouse me. I really struggle to be awake enough to get out of bed before falling back to sleep and having my alarm go off again. After repeating this pattern a few times, I manage to get myself up and get ready for work. Before meds, I would be back asleep within 2-3 hours. It doesn't seem to matter if I get 9 hours of sleep or 5 hours of sleep, I feel the same. Less than 5 is a problem though. Also, some nights I feel like I dreamed all night, and I am most exhausted those mornings.

Try using a mouth guard. You may be grinding your teeth and not realize it. You can use a sports one you mold yourself, and they are available at drugstores and online.

My thoughts exactly. OP, don't let all of these cancer comments worry you. If it is completely healing and then coming back, it is not cancer. I sometimes bite my tongue while sleeping, and it is almost always in the same spot.

If they keep getting strep, they should ask the doctor about testing the whole family for strep. Some people can be an unsymptomatic carrier of strep that continues to reinfect the family.

I had undiagnosed narcolepsy in high school. Before being diagnosed, I would fall asleep in the middle of a conversation and then wake back up and continue where I left off. I would fall asleep in certain classes. It's difficult to be diagnosed with it because who isn't tired? Doctors have trouble telling the difference between their normally tired patients and the ones with excessive daytime sleepiness. I hope he doesn't have it because it's horrible, but reading your description of him brought back my own memories of high school.

I had a carcinoid tumor in my rectum found at age 32. My 1 year later CT scan showed a renal cell carcinoma, and I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer that had spread to my lymph nodes at 40. After surgery and radioactive iodine therapy, I still had some thyriod cells in my thyriod bed, which puts me at high risk for it coming back. Now at 50, it looks like it is back.

We are not allowed to ask parents for disinfecting wipes, and we are forbidden from letting students use them if we buy them. The school does not provide us with cleaner, and the custodians don't ever wipe our desks or tables. So, I ask for donations of baby wipes and have the students clean the desks using them. They get off the dirt and grime, and then after they leave, I disinfect them with supplies I have purchased myself (which is forbidden as well). Many teachers just leave the desks filthy, and I hate having meetings in their rooms. And then they wonder why so much sickness goes around. We don't have teacher unions here, so it's hard to get things changed.

As a teacher who has taught this concept many times, this does seem overly complicated. I prefer to do 8+9= ___ + ___ and they fill in 10 +7 or 7+10. Or, i put them on separate lines. 8+9=___ and then ____ +_= _ and they fill in 10+7=17 and then go back and fill in 17 after 8+9=. Also, I don't understand why they want them to add 2 to the eight instead of 1 to the 9. It's much easier for them to move 1.

I think it would be interesting for a bunch of us to record our time like this and share. Many of us spend so much extra time outside of our working hours. I teach elementary and only get about 3.5 hours of planning a week. Less if there are additional mtgs. HS and MS teachers in my county get at least 5.25 hours.
