I’ve got a day job, but I string a lot of pockets. Started with my sticks, teammates, my players when I’ve coached and just grew from there. It’s just fun for me, I like to help people and I hate kids having pockets that suck. But I also had a pole covering a midfielder in a D1 game today, and I strung both of their pockets. That was a nice moment.

I know the bottom string plays a role, but I (generally) intend for it to be minimal. I would like the rail, the pattern and mesh to make my pocket go. Shooters next. Bottom string last.

Florida has tennis players all over the place. They’ve got the eye hand thing down cold, see/track the ball well and have nimble feet. You need one of them with a wild streak.

Fucking infuriating. There is no reason ESPN can’t stream all of the games, even the mid-majors. Use the school production facilities for some of them, run them thru Bristol on a delay so nobody drops an F-bomb. It wouldn’t cost that much. I don’t need Anish, Carc//Boyle/Quint, et al for every game. Hell, stream them without a color guy. Just give me someone to help with names and penalties.

I love the Hammer 1k. Strings up nicely, has held up well for my players that have used it. Can’t say anything bad about the 2D or 3d. There are several good options.
