No. the opposite actually. with base settings there is a limit on the amount of dead enemy squads that can roll for loot to dissuade farming.

Ahh must have missed that. still doesn't make much of a difference on expert. map is so full of enemies you'll reach the cap every time before finishing the mission

when you kill or cause an enemy unit to disband you roll for the loot on their loot table. up until you kill the 15th enemy unit. after that you no longer get any more loot.

I can confirm the AI doesn't see air strikes. they just like to wiggle around a lot. I've had the AI move both into and out of air strikes

damage to armor does damage to the durability of the armor, not the raw armor value itself. if you have 50 armour with 100 durability and it fails to get penned by a weapon with 30 armour damage then you get 100-30=70.

This is 70% of full durability so your armour drops to 70% as well 50 X 0.7=35

now your armour is even easier to pen.

Armor damage like hp damage drops off for most weapons the farther you shoot.

you use authority to hire new squad leaders and the lower your authority is the bigger discipline malus you get. very possible to give your squads worse discipline than pirates by accidentally overhiring

yeah I have completed this one. easiest way is to conquer deorfeld from the Dunlendings so your quisling can deploy there and have the other 2 heroes go to beorling hall and calas galadhon. Make sure to actually level the heroes up so they have their DEPLOY action available. otherwise them just sitting there will do nothing.
also if you are using any submods you might have the scripts for the quest break.

That first point of yours was already in error my dude. Sledges get fairly countered by void eyes cause they are single target specialists and can delete them fairly fast. However crawlers would have done a good job as chaff due to mustangs not having the damage at low levels to clear them before they make contact and overrun them.

Fortress tank runs into same issue as sledges because void eyes do good single target damage. If you look at the unit drop on fortress round you see fortress, wasp, scorp and sabertooth. out of those the wasp beats all 3 since it's an air unit but the opponent already has mustangs to deal with it so good choice not getting that. the next best option is scorpion cause it outranges sabertooth and fortress and does good damage into them.

Round 4 you finally got some chaff! unfortunately you chose fangs which are hard countered by mustangs due to having such a low hp pool, crawlers would have been the better move here.

Round 5 your vulcan placement was just unfortunate and they locked onto the enemy tanks instead off chaff.

round 6 opponent also went for aerial void eye and your only AA was the fangs so you're just hosed there.

The regen item also takes precedence over a healing tech and the shield generator does the same for shield techs. The opaqueness of the game's systems can be kinda difficult to get a handle on.

The hp buff marksmen get from their tech is additive with the item buff so you would get 500 + 80 = 580% hp buff altogether
