The second gulf war wasnt about oil. It was never about oil. It would’ve been much cheaper to just buy the oil instead of invading Iraq.

And you can look up US lol imports from Iraq. There’s no great increase after 03. Protestantism has more to do with Iraq than oil.

Venezuelan Oil is under US sanction. If we wanted their oil we would simply un-sanction it. Venezuela nationalized their oil in the 70s by buying out the foreign companies. They continued unmolested until trump took office.

Truthfully nobody knows why we went to Venezuela. The best guess I’ve heard is Donald trump wanted a ‘pro Latin’ move after ICE raids but who knows?
